-Haven't had sex with a 25 year old in over a decade.

-Blackshear commits and I'm going to have expectations for next season. Fair warning.

-Purely from a personality standpoint, hard to say UK Football has had anything but some pretty decent dudes at the helm since Curry.
  1. Rich Brooks
  2. Mark Stoops
  3. Guy Morriss
  4. Hal Mumme
  5. Joker Phillips
Mumme has to be dinged for the whole probation thing. Joker lost all credibility with his COME PLAY FOR THE JOKER antics. Overall some good guys, though. Worth something as it's not always the case at P5 schools.

-The open 3 at Rupp while the Cats are on a run and a wide receiver breaking loose in the secondary with a QB that has time are my two favorite instants in UK sports. Pure Wildcat joy.

-I don't recall ever getting a technical or reprimand from a referee in all my years of sports. My Dad was a high school football referee for 25 years and I went to a lot of his games growing up. I think, for me, that built a pretty healthy respect for officials.

^Old Man has some great stories from those years btw. Tossing Bob Redman from a game. Getting police escorts to the county line after playoff games in remote towns. And also pretty interesting to hear some of the names of other officials from those years that became somewhat public in their professional careers - judges, politicians, etc. He absolutely loved doing it.

-SPF 15 for Dad. Beach, pool, golf.

-Grilled Italian sausage with Durkees on french bread from Kroger. YW.

-What's a pretty good Bluetooth speaker out there? Recs?

You would likely enjoy Michael Lewis’s podcast on officiating/referees. Your father falls into a very small group of people.

Anth, you spend 84% of your time talking about trips to Europe and crushing it. I think I can tell one story about taking down some nice poon. I guess you forgot about the old GYERO.

It is not what you tell, it is HOW you tell it. Your humble brags suck. I mean nothing wrong with coming in here flexing, but you are trying way too hard to impress, which is not what it is about. IMO, of course. KW is a bad MFN place doh, so i get it.

My dad called high school and DII football for a few decades as well. Highlight was the 1991 4A championship when George Rogers Clark pulled off the big upset over St. X. First time any team had beaten Trinity & X back-to-back to win a title. An all time memory for 12 year old Joe. No doubt his time officiating instilled in me tolerance for a bad call or two.

-I actually like rogue but every post is an exaggerated, "I had the best day ever." Don't have to go all snarky bitch level but everyone has a bad day every now and then. I also think managing Key West tourists through a scavenger hunt sounds like pure hell. I'd go back to Tat's and sling red stripe or put that capt license to good use.

-Speaking of bad days, they're easily identified when I get a succession of text message dings 5 minutes before my alarm goes off. Never good news at that hour.

-Speaking of transfers, we need to get Xavier Peters' waiver.

-Currently in a battle of wills with a 4 years old. Obstinate little bastard. Negotiates like our President.

-Officiating career lasted 1 tee-ball game when I was 12. Probably missed a close play at first and got completely undressed by a coach/dad to the point the other coaches stepped in. Collected my $7, grabbed a suicide, bubble tape, and retired.

Jesus dude, why’d they take your clothes off?

Hump Day Shorts:

-Vegas was a blast, as always. Got crushed on tables opening night, and slowly rebounded over the duration to finish around even, capped with a big win by my Chile (+4.5)

-Comped at Flamingo this time; basic & classic. Their pool/conservatory area is actually pretty awesome. Caribbean resort feel, plenty of room.

--Amazing how fast stuff changes out there. Was just there in March, and so much stuff was different it's hard to keep up. LINQ is really becoming a sweet ass little hotel - their sportsbook & 'play' areas are just awesome. Next up there is a live ESPN Studio dedicated to gaming content. Bleacher Report is actually doing the same thing across the street at Caesars. Expect a lot more 'live gaming' in the very near future...'The Match' with Tiger & Phil really paved the way for a new era as far as that stuff is concerned.

<--- Now Diamond with CET.

-In & Out simply isn't any better than any other above average fast food joint. Add their pathetic fries into the equation, and it may not even be that. :100points:

-MotherLoad of gummies traveled safely in my backpack. My method: Buy Starburst Gummies, dump out, fill to the brim with special ones. #Profit

-Shot even last night, and took out our zillion time club champ 3 & 2 in our President's Match play last night. :fire: Haven't shot above par on 9 or 18 in nearly a month. :eyes:

-My boy Gary Woodland finally broke through, what a performance.

-Krayzie >>>>>> Bizzy >>>>>>> Lazy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Wish > Flesh

-Hard to fathom how deep & loaded we will be if we add Blackshear :eyes:

-Is it still basetball season?

Rally’s made a solid burger by fast food standards. Those spicy fries were legit good as well.

I used to hit up the one on Lower Brownsboro from time to time before it closed.

Mel officiated HS basketball in KY for 25 years. Loved it. He called it a 'quiet arrogance' that was required to be a very good official. Said the old Feldhaus coached teams were some of the best. Tremendous man-to-man defensive teams that simply didn't foul.

- The US Open coverage was a mixed bag for me. The trademark Fox slow mos and cutaways of the course were mesmerizing. But the commentary was rough. Flesch has the worst voice for TV of any person on the planet.

- How did Fields end up doing in the Lexington public tourney?

- I've always been a Blackshear fan and he's killed it against top tier comp. Reid Travis did indeed suck- what a buzzkill he was.

Blackshear’s footwork is unreal. Kind of old school with various pivots and pump fakes to get his man to bite.

At 6’10” 250 with a 3 point shot and he essentially wasn’t going to get drafted this year? I kind of get it but it still doesn’t make sense to me.

I believe the children are our future.

In no small part because I can’t trust their parents most of the time.

Speaking of kids/baseball & grownups ruining it for everyone, Little Big League is 25 years old this year. Grief.

How cool was Ken Griffey Jr in that movie as a kid? Tons of cameos. Good baseball situational dialogue. Jonathan Silverman, Dennis Farina, Tim Busfield, and of course the legendary Jason Robards?

My only complaint when I coached soccer was that the parents that complained the most/loudest were also the ones that thought 2 hours of practice was going to make their 5 yr Old the next Pele.

Asking them in private “Not to be a jerk but do you work with Johnny at home m’am?” Was clearly an insult.

- PTI soon to be cheering on the last 2-3 years worth of Duke 1 and done’s.......how does that feel pal?

Fairly certain the next Pele isn't coming from Mount Washington but Okolona has as good a chance as anywhere IMO.

...for now, anyway. Before they're rounded up and deported, which should go pretty smoothly and is a great idea as we all agree.

Absolutely. 40219 is a gold mine for me, I work with the 2 biggest Cuban realtors in town - you get one, you pretty much get them all. Great clients, and value their shit. Plus, Barry's Cheesesteaks.

Louisville actually has the 2nd largest Cuban community in the US (Las Vegas) for cities outside of Florida. Good people, and happy as hell to be here.

Cruising Preston on a summer night, shew. Lot to be learned for a young southender in the Rallys Parking lot.

Felt like the St Rita's picnic was always a bit underwhelming though, untapped potential.

Cuban chicks in Louisville hot or not? That can really go strong in either direction. Seems like they are either absolutely smoking or absolutely plain. Can't remember seeing a lot of meh Cuban women.

That the one by the Dairy Hut? You took me to that one, was my first Catholic Picnic experience. Stared holes through many (I assume) underaged sloots - can't imagine being a HS kid in that scene, shew.

-Cuban, Latina, etc. Not much middle ground, but there is PLENTY of smoke to be found in that genre around here, for sure. The crew my realtor buddy runs around with, their wives are all hot as balls, Daddy Yankee video style. They way they dress is ridiculous though :joy:, even for little family picnics - hoochied up LOUD 24/7.
