I wonder how much scrutiny Barnhart gives Stoops? Obviously, Stoops feels under the gun (but having a $12 million golden parachute is nice) but does Barnhart "act" like a boss? Is he asking Stoops to come in Monday morning, asking him to sign some "under performance" warning/memorandum, asking him to come up with a daily/weekly plan on what he's going to do fix the problems and that the two of them are going to sit down every week and go over the plan? And then does Capiluto call Stoops and ask if Barnhart has gone over his lack of performance warning and how the "plan" is coming because that's how it would be at my job.

Lmao that's hilarious

The president was busy cutting ribbons and trashing the local newspapers again today in order to protect a sexual predator that worked for him.

Good news is he should override Mitch and hire Bobby/Art/Paterno any day now.

I'm not sure I'll ever again feel the pure joy and optimism toward UK football that I felt in the early days of the Hal Mumme era. Fun, exciting new system with the local hero at the helm and beating Bama for the 1st time in 75 years in year one. Then in year two, calling our shot preseason for a New Years Day bowl game and actually pulling it off, beating the brakes of UofL at the Pizza Box, Deuce making the Heisman Trophy presentation...amazing times those were before Hal and Claude flew too close to the sun.

Basically, my UK football fandom peaked at age 14.

Yeah we weren't much better under Mumme when you think about it but when we lost it was with style. That UK/Tenn game featuring Couch and Manning was one of the more memorable games I attended while a student. What an offensive show. Kio Sanford running through the entire UT defense was :boom:

Negotiating a job offer in Fairbanks, Alaska...big step up for me career wise...will be deputy campaign manager on a congressional campaign.

Should be flying out on Wednesday.

The Native Alaskan Eskimo is said to be one of the most unattractive ethnic groups on the planet. But that's just hearsay and probably a bad stereotype. Best wishes!

* People forget the bitching and complaining about "leveling out" under Brooks. That last year and a half was constant griping about never going anywhere but the Music City Bowl or Liberty Bowl.

* I wonder what Eddie Gran thinks of Barker's brand now?

* Someone probably needs to intervene on Rowland trying to throw a few glimmers of hope out there. Comparing our situation to Vanderbilt really doesn't help matters. Not to mention, they have seen more recent success than we have.

* Think most of these recruiting class accolades are largely jokes. Most are and its not just immune to Kentucky. Tons of examples of schools out there that produce way over their class ranking and it revolves around development or environment.

* I can't actually think of one player in the Stoops era that has actually improved over there time here. Even the skill positions, guys just tend to disappear under the guise of us over-recruiting [laughing]

Guarantee Sarah Palin had a big ol' Alaskan Bush back then.

If tommyg stays in Alaska thru next summer, I'm going up to visit him. Gives me like 9 months to start being nice, which is a pretty long runway.

When my grandfather passed we found a bunch of old newspapers from WWII and shew wee editors back then were not shy about throwing "jap" and "nip" around in the banner headlines of the day.

"Nip" and "Jap" don't seem to different from calling a American Yankee a "Yank," or a Briton a "Brit."

But since they are associated with how terribly Japanese men acted as WWII combatants, that's why we don't use them anymore.

That FB comment and Anth's "bandwagon" post in the first half of the Southern Miss game indicate that there was definitely some preseason "F the non-Boosters!! They're not welcomed back!!" chatter amongst Stoops and his crew, which is hilarious.
To be fair to me, other than a heavily intoxicated post during the USM game you'd be hard pressed to find any type of supportive or optimistic post about the program since the Vandy game last season.

The practice facility is crazy nice but I don't think I said it was going to help us win this season. Other than that I haven't heard a word out of Stoops since his little patronizing comments regarding how shitty our program has been historically. Commented on it a few times and really rubbed me the wrong way. Not sure where you think I get inside influence from anyone over there. I do personally like Mitch because he's a nice person but he's on the hook here and I seem to remember you taking up for someone you like after he allowed Pitino impregnate a whore in the corner booth of his restaurant.

It's better to go full Gillispie and tank so hard you're quickly replaced than do just enough to keep sticking around like Tubby. If Stoops keeps winning 5 games, he'll keep coming back.

We laid mine to rest earlier today. WWII vet, very proud of his time in the service. Full military funeral. I kept it together save a few times over the weekend, but as soon as the trumpet queued into Taps- I let it all go.

My man has a prime spot in Calvary Cemetery, under the shade of tall oak, close to others in our family. I think he would be pretty pleased.

All I've really said is that Shannon Dawson sucks, which he does.

-UK has forced 4 punts this season. 3 of those came in the first half of the Southern Miss game. So, 1 punt forced in last 6 quarters.

When my 92 yo grandpa died we found an empty bottle of viagra, a cock ring or two, a bunch of porn, and a collection of nudie mags. Odd considering he was button down business man, city council, fire chief, WWII purple heart recipient, etc. Mad props to the old guy

Grandpa was the first fire chief in our town and a Ret. LT COL in the Army. When he died I held it together pretty good but Taps was tough. That said, at the cemetery when all of the Fireman's radios went off and they did the "Last Call for CCFD 210. CCFD 210 no longer responding, your duties are done" I pretty much let the tears flow. ZFG either.

Then I thought about the cock rings and porn and I smiled
