Toppin is MUCH better as a role player. He's getting rebounds and taking the easy shots. This is who we need him to be.
South Carolina beats us in Rupp then loses their next two games at home by a combined 53 points.
As bad as the 1st half was, this 2nd half has been great............on both ends
Much needed time out for Oscar I think. He looked a little tired on those last 4 free throws.
You can tell the team is happy to have Wallace running the point. They trust him more.

Wheeler screwed himself with his birthday wish. He wished for a win, which could only come with him on the bench little did he know.
His best game of the year imo. Finally starting to focus on rebounding and putbacks…anything else is just icing on top

Absolutely horrible. I don’t know if the coaching staff doesn’t focus on it or if they can’t teach it. Either way it’s awful and why we struggle to get open looks.
We will see. Calipari will cover and say he wasn't 100%. I still don't think this team is very good but Wheeler needs limited minutes for UK to even make the ncaa.
The old Toppin would seem to check out when his shots weren’t falling. He is starting to let the game come to him more while doing a great job defensively and rebounding
Yeah Cal was out there pretty far. I was commenting more about those two and their ongoing feud they have had over the years.
Boards and hustle are there, but 3-10 (feels like 1-15) ain’t going to get us far. Kid just isn’t a shooter and if he is off, he is WAY off. Not the type of player that just needs to keep shooting it to get in rhythm. CJ and Reeves simply can’t miss all these threes (2-10)

We are the last game to finish all other games are done for the night. I can't stand 9 PM games on weekdays.
Actually, he's more explosive on offense than last season, don' you think? More confident in his moves to the basket. He's a load, man.
The frustrating thing is that when Oscar plays like this, all we need is for some guys to be able to make wide-open shots. And more often than not this season they have not been able to do that.
I like him a lot too. Especially watching from the bench with Wallace running the show.

Wallace is making a major difference in this game by not forcing passes to Oscar that becomes turnovers. Also, with him in the game, Cal is actually running offensive sets instead of just having his team running up and down the court out of control.
