UK moves up to #14 in the AP rankings. It didn't hurt that 1/3 of the top 25 teams lost last week. Only 8 undefeated teams left. What a great opportunity! I hope they're up for it.

I operated many of these fine GE units. They had a great Dynamic brake, And a very comfortable cabMorning D-Leaguers. It is 62.6° F here this morning. Rain, rain and a little more rain. Yesterday we got a touch over 1 inch. Ritchie left last night at 6:30 pm and on the way out I dumped the rain gauge. I just took the recyclables out this morning and there is 2 & 1/8 inches in the guage since last night at 6:30 pm. If any of you all see Noah, tell him to head our way.
Rooster, those locomotives are some fine pieces of engineering. Just as I was in the process of retiring I got a tour of one of the 6,000 horsepower AC engine. It was brand spanking new and at that time (2000) they were over $1.25 million.
Welcome to the 75 Club. I know you are like me and are just glad you made it and can still enjoy life. I lost two childhood friends last week. One was 74 and the other 73.Headed out for my semi-annual doctor checkup. At 75 they always find something to send you to a couple of specialists. The next few months are spent going to those specialists and getting some kind of treatment. By the time that is over it is time to go back for another semi-annual checkup and the next round of specialists.

God is good, both had a wonderful life and were ready to go home. Best to you as the specialist poke around on you. My next 6 month appointment is February 2019. I hope to be about 30 pounds lighter by then.
I stopped doing that a few years ago. It did not make me happy. I still touch base with 3 guys that I played football with.I'm still a couple of weeks short of 75. I'm trying to hang on.
I follow my hometown obituaries. Hardly a month goes by without someone I last saw as a teenager (a classmate or onetime friend) giving up the ghost. I haven't lived in my hometown since 1961 but it is still "home." All my family are buried there. I am the only survivor.
Today is one of the best days of the year on the Florida Gulf Coast. It is the opening of stone crab season. Stone crabs are a special gift from heaven. When you crab for them you can only take one claw and then you throw the crab back in the water. The crab will regrow the claw. With one claw he can still feed himself but if you take both he can not.

ymmot31, did you follow any specific weight loss plan or did you make this one up on your own? What ever you did it sure worked.Took a trip out in the rain and now I'm going to bake some bread and do the dishes. In that order.
Making Philly cheesesteak sammiches for dinner tonight and this time I get to have mine on bread. Using a different recipe this time because it's a different type of bread. I assume it will turn out as good though. I weigh my ingredients when I bake for consistent results.

I also went dieting about the same time as ymmot and have lost 27 lbs. I'm 5'9" down to 175 from 202. My diet wasn't really a plan. I just cut out the sodas, i.e. the sugar based refreshments. The result was loss of approx. 4 or 5 lbs/week and a higher consumption of Arrowhead Spring Water. The weight loss slowed significantly as I approached 175 lbs level and the fat melted away. My back quit hurting and now my clothes are baggy. Go Big Blue.ymmot31, did you follow any specific weight loss plan or did you make this one up on your own? What ever you did it sure worked.

Way to go! We should have entered the D league into a contest. You're proof that you don't have to make drastic changes to your life to lose weight. You just have to stick with it awhile.
We in this D-League outfit are strange birds. We talk about weight loss and plans then we post picture after picture of some of the best looking food one can drool over. I plead guilty. All this talk about weight loss is making me hungry.
For some reason you just reminded of this scene from Easy Money:We in this D-League outfit are strange birds. We talk about weight loss and plans then we post picture after picture of some of the best looking food one can drool over. I plead guilty.
To balance this we should post a few pictures of celery stalks, cucumber slices and dried up kale.
Update on the rain in Smiths Grove.
In the last 24 hours we have had 2 & 7/8 inches. On top of the 1 & 1/8 in my guage last night at 6:30 pm tha tis a whopping 4 inches in 48 hours. WOW!
Palm Springs, CA averages less than 3 inches a year.
Good morning from ATX. Currently 47°F and raining. Cold rain, in fact.
* Good morning D-League

* It is a little sad to see it go but the only thing I bought there in the last 25 years were some Craftsman tools.
