Field Goal UK!

USC jr. 10 - UK 6

Must win for the Cats today. They have freshman QB and a freshman left tackle. I hope we are in attack mode.

Interesting scores: Arkansas up 21-7 on Oklahoma St. and Texas up 17-3 on Michigan.
I have no faith in the football Cats. They have the propensity to screw up as they are doing.

Gosh I hope that I am wrong.

Not sure where the wins are going to come from other than Ohio and Murray State. Certain road losses to Texas, UT, Ole Miss and Florida. UGA is a given loss at home. That leaves Vandy, Auburn and UL. Maybe they can turn it around? Brooks did it one year. Can't remember the season.

Good morning folks.

Well, that was a short Kentucky football season. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a worse offensive line at the college level. Ever. South Carolina was the worst SEC team on the schedule aside from maybe Vandy. I don’t see a 5th win.

I was ready to roll the dice on a new era when it looked like Stoops was gone to TA&M. The 7-5 years with 4 cupcakes and 3-5 against the SEC looked okay on paper by Kentucky standards but the program never seemed close to taking a step up from that. Now, even that seems out of reach.

NFL gets real today. I hope the Bengals’ offensive line shows up. Can Burrow make it to Halloween?

Have a good day folks.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 66°F and clear. Today's high expected around 87°F. Gorgeous weather.

Gamecocks beat our Cats yesterday like they stole something. Stoops better fix or we're looking at a really long, painful season.

Still must completely unpack from Scotland trip. Wash clothes. Plan on making oyster stew around noon today.

Must transfer € to nephew's account in Germany today for our upcoming Thanksgiving turkey and ham dinner over in Germany. His mother, my former sister in-law, plans on ordering turkey and ham through butcher shop where she works part-time. I am also taking a couple pecan pies and ingredients for pumpkin pies. Oh, and dressing. Flying over in a roughly 10 weeks.

Leaving out for a hike soon.

Wishing a joyous Sunday to all.

Gotta haul your luggage up couple flights stairs over in Scotland. No longer an easy chore.

My thoughts exactly on Burrow. First the Reds blow it, then the Cats, and now the rest of my years' sports hopes and dreams are centered on the Bengals (Cats BB will get a pass since the new makeover).

60° this morning with a high in low 90's expected and plenty of sunshine.

Going fishing in about a half hour or so with the weather being so cool this morning. Will only be out a couple of hours since it gets hot quick. No kayak, just bank fishing because it will not be a long outing with the way it heats up so fast around here. Plus, have to get back and watch some real football (Bengals) hopefully.

You folks enjoy your day and God Bless.

Spent just 3 hours out this morning going to 2 ponds. Rattler and Bald.

Rattler for the first 2 hours. No strikes, no hits (hooked) and no errors (landed). Saw a duck and a couple of beaver, but didn't tell my wife about the beaver.

Bald for one hour. 2 strikes, 1 hit (hooked) and no errors (got it landed). About 1 lb.

So, WarriorCat 1 - Largemouth Bass 0.

Bengals playing today about as bad as UK did yesterday. 10-0 Patriots at the half. Patriots were not good last year and not supposed to be good this year. It looks like the typical slow Bengals start under Zack Taylor. Due in part I think to the fact that in Burrow's first 4 years in with the Bengals, he has only played in one preseason set of games. 3 out of 4 of those years he is coming off of injury and did not participate in the preseason games.

Morning Legionnaires!

58° this morning with light winds. Today's high to be in the low 90's with plenty of sunshine. Supposed to return back to the triple digits by the weekend. Hope not.

Manic Monday? I hope not but if so, here is some eye candy and music to help ease the start.

Be safe out there grinders and God Bless.

She's still hot at 65.

Good morning folks. Sunny, clear and actually chilly this morning during my run. This streak of fall weather has already lasted about two weeks, effectively ending summer in late August. Fine with me.

Back to work. Not a fan of Mondays at all, and already hit with some depressing assignments to attend to this week. Ah well, in a year when I retire I'll probably lament having no place to be.

You folks have a good day.

You have to do something when you retire. I am 77 and I still work, just fewer hours and only when I want to. My only real hobbies were sports and I am to old for that now. I guess working is my hobby now. Part of it is there were health related things, but I worked for ten years at a large plant and they said the average retiree there only lived 19 months. You have to stay busy.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 67°F and clear. Today's high expected around 93°F. Heat ratcheting back up between now and Friday.

In addition to chemo, received a magnesium infusion yesterday. Felt like a brand new man thereafter. Stayed up until 9 pm last night. Usually crash and burn after supper. More of it, please.

Working today. Wishing y'all a good one.

Grocery shelf and prices at Tesco in Kirkwall. Multiply by roughly 1.31 for amount in dollars.

Good morning folks. Cloudy and cool in the east.

Hurrying to work. Not much going on for me outside the office right now.

Austin, I don’t know what to make of those prices since I don’t buy many instant cookie, muffin or cake mixes. You could tell me any price from two to ten dollars was fair for a Betty Crocker cake mix and I’d believe it.

Have a good day folks.

Good morning all,

Working from home today. Do not plan to be back in DC until at least next Thursday. Taking some leave starting Friday through Wednesday. (I need it.)

My SIL (My Darlings older sister.) and BIL are coming for a visit Friday from Radcliff. Am really looking forward to it. Plan on showing them the town, taking them to some good food, and maybe hitting the Naval Recreation Center in Maryland for a day. (Heard the crab and croaker are biting.) Only about 80 miles away too. (We shall see.)

Hope your day today is special in a great way.

I totally agree.

I retired at 53 and after I did most of my bucket list projects I ran for commissioner to "have something interesting to do". I found myself getting dumber. If you don't have to critically think you get dumb. So for 10 years I held office, the last 4 as Mayor and I got my thinker back up and running.

I have to have a project to function correctly.
