And 15 minutes after that he got a call from a boiler room in Calcutta trying to convince him they were from tech support and needed him to patch them into his computer so they could eliminate viruses.

You guys ever watch the Mark Rober videos where he sabotages some of these detestable criminals preying on people?

This is way too long, but if you have nothing else to do, this guy is clever as hell and quite the vigilante...

Bastards. The pranks should be more hardcore. One of my elderly neighbors got taken by these evil people.

The truth hurts too... That really hurts, Sir.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 58°F and clear. Temps climbing to 96°F by late this afternoon.

It's Thursday, which means I'm heading into the office. Keeping it short this morning.

Wishing happiness and health for all our fellow D-League members.

Good Morning all,

My least favorite pie is cherry pie. BUT, I'd eat it. Any day is a good day to eat cherry pie. On my worst day I'd eat cherry pie. I'd rather have a coconut or apple, or pecan pie but if cherry pie was all there was, I'd eat it. I'd eat cherry pie if it wasn't all there was. "Pie, pie, me oh my, I love pie..." (Catch that line and your good.)

Have a great day all and ..................................have a piece of pie.... ;)

I sure do love pie. My least favorite is apple, but I love apple especially with a big hunk of sharp cheddar cheese. My favorite is pecan. Cherry is up there too.

I will take the pie challenge and eat a piece or two today. It would be mighty fine with this cup of coffee I am drinking. Right now.

Good morning D League

We have a nice start to the day with a current temperature of 71° with winds SSE at 10 mph. The humidity is 59% which is tolerable for us. The UV Index is 8 of 10 so tourist need to put sunscreen on the babies. We are going to climb near 90° with a high forecast for about 87°. If a few clouds move out it may hit 90. Nice.

Well after a full day of working in the yard, my sprinkler and irrigation system still needs some work to get it back 100%. We found two more valves yesterday and eight more sprinkler heads. They will need replacing along with a couple of hundred feet of PVC. Life has it's surprises and most cost money. If I were the government I could just print it and spread it around like peanut butter. But this ain't the government or the movies. So it comes out of my bank account.

But life is good and my health good for an old timer. So I am thankful. I trust all have a great day.

So to lift my spirits I turn to an old railroad song.

Good morning folks.

And thanks for the reminder on Cherry Pie Austin.

There is a family-owned orchard out our way that sells homemade pies on the side, and they make the best cherry pies I've had in my life, with the of a deep dish cherry cobbler with spongy, sugary crust on top my mamaw made back in the 1960s. But that not being an option, I'm headed for the orchard on Saturday.

Our church had a baptismal service last Sunday evening. We use the Gulf of Mexico and our favorite spot is Indian Rocks Beach. My mother was baptized in the same spot as this young man in 1921. The man baptizing is my cousin who pastors the church.

Magnificent!!! The ocean couldn't be used for a better purpose except, walking on it. (If you get my meaning...) 😍

Baseball fans may remember this young man from Alvin, Texas. He did pretty good in the majors. One of my closest friends played high school ball with him in Alvin. Nolan would pitch and my friend, Mike played center field. Mike would take a book with him to the outfield and sit down while Nolan pitched. Mike knew nobody was going to hit it anywhere near him. True story.

Good morning from a rainy Smiths Grove. We are at 68.9°F, toping out at 74 and have already had .44" of rain. I am glad I got the mowing in yesterday morning. I would have been baling hay other wise.

I noticed Beto O'Rourke made a total ass of himself yesterday by interrupting the Governor, Lt Governor and Mayor. The police escorted the ass out.

I have a few favorite baseball players due to the different era's and skills but Nolan is way up there for me.... Just a phenomenal talent over a very long time...

I was baptised in Beaver Dam creek. It is spring fed and is cold. Good water but really cold.

Nope, having black berry cobbler instead for lunch shortly and then on to some sparring with my student (need some energy food). She is preparing for a tournament in a few weeks so need to get her prepared. Agree that cherry pie is not high on my list either. Pecan, Pumpkin, Apple, Peach, Chocolate, in that order and all others come n after that. However, agree that any day you eat pie is a good day but a good cobbler can do the trick as well.

Good morning D, read Revelation 5 this morning.

Bert it looks like we have had .07" so far this morning.

I have some great times with our son the past couple weeks doing some arrowhead hunting, really good therapy!!!! We have found some nice complete ones, a bunch of broken ones, both tips and bases and a large piece of flint that fit in the palm of my hand that had been worked. I have also found 2 pieces that are called drill bits, they are about an inch wide at the base and tapers down to a point. If you look up Native American drill bits it will show you a picture since I don't know how to post pics!!!! My son worked 3rds last night for the railroad (Berts favorite) we talked this morning on his way home, he was saying that with all this rain that the fields will be like hunting from the start again, with the rain washing the dirt off the flint! I don't mean to ramble on about this, but it is helping us cope with what we have been through! Thanks for listening D!!!!

I hope the D has a great day and prayers for the D!!!

For all the birthdays I have missed in the D, Happy Birthday to you!!!!

Never had cherry cobbler, blackberry and peach are the only ones I have had.

SC, funny story, so a local church used the mining pit for their baptismal service, so one evening my best friend who worked at Gibraltar Coal Mines has the state police show up at the mines office and ask him if he could take them to a certain lake there, because they had a complaint called in. He takes them there and the church is having their baptismal service. What had happened was, the church people asked the drunks that were there to leave or they would call the police, so they do leave, but the drunks call the police and tell them that they were run off by a bunch of drunks. My friend told me after they explained everything they all had a good laugh!!!!

Dern you WC, got me wanting pie now. All I am thinking of I left off on purpose is pumpkin pie, and now sweet potato pie. Give me a Pecan, Pumpkin, and Sweet potato pie and all is good with the world. (Throw in a coconut cream or chocolate pie (For desert) and that is a mans meal!!!

Coconut cream is the best of all pies. Anyone that says different just don't know pie!

Sir, Sir, Sir,....

Sigh Sir............ I am the common sewer of pie. (Or is that connoisseur?)

You must understand something, not all pies are alike. See, there are main course pies and desert pies (Just to keep it simple.) (I could go into the four distinct levels of pie...)

An example of a main course pie could be a pumpkin, sweet potato, pecan, or some of that ilk, while a dessert pie would consist of, the beloved coconut cream pie, or chocolate, or even a banana cream pie....(The berry pies are in a class of their own...The "health nut" sector of pie. They do serve their distinct purpose(s).)

The intricacy of pies and their various places within the four course meal must be established. I do however agree, the Coconut cream pie is the best desert pie and may be at times the best overall pie. It all depends on the depths of my hunger at the time....

Well, that's my story anyway... 😁

Did anyone ever tell you that you are "full of it"?

How did you hear Sir? Darn it, I was trying to keep it hidden but I got a BIG mouth, even when I type. More pie, gallons of pie, bucket's or platters if any are temperamental. Speaking for myself and Curly, I am temper-mental. (95% temper, and 5% mental.) I'd blame it on my Darling being a great cook but I can only take that excuse so far.

Still working, still working... ;)
