Oooh, that peanut butter looks like it might be a softer version of peanut butter fudge. I'll take it.

Morning Legionnaires! Git out of dem sheets and start squeezing dem teets. Some of you might need milk for your coffee.

28° this morning with a high expected to be in the mid 60's Going to do some outside work on the fence today.

Wife going back to work today after about a week and half of the Kung Fu Flu. Daughter feeling much better as well. Worked most of the day yesterday on her schoolwork (home schooled) to start catching up. She was out about a week of it because of the virus. She will catch up in a few days as it does not normally take her more than 4 hours a day for her normal workload. One of her classes is an advanced art class. She has been drawing since she was little (now 16) and I think very good at it. Below is a character she drew yesterday that is from one of the computer games she plays. She always puts her signature on them in the outline of the body. Never tells me where so I have to enlarge to see it. On this one it is on the left shoulder.

BIL is over the crud as well and MIL was told she could go home Saturday afternoon but refused because she does not feel ready. Wife is not surprised and says she has always been a bit of a hypochondriac and will milk her hospital stay since people are waiting on her hand and foot.

Monday, Monday, oh well...be safe out there folks and God Bless.

Good Stuff... My BIL can draw and I could sit and watch him for as long as he kept drawing. It is a talent I wish I had, I tried and tried hard too. Nope... The piano is another, I play the guitar some and can sing but.... (I can write and have several outlines ready. We shall see when they come to fruition..)

This is my BIL, Sister, and Nieces...(Years ago) He was an MP in Nam...

The only thing I can draw is the ire of liberals. It's a talent I have and am proud of.

Good morning! I've made a quart of coffee and I'm ready for the Jones show. Football was worth the price of admission this weekend.

Waaaahhh! If the Bills had stopped the Chiefs, they would have got the ball with a chance to win. It's called sudden death for a reason. On the other hand, It would be better if the other team had a chance to tie the game again like they do in college.

I hope Levis was watching Josh Allen and saying "that could be me". I like to see the QB take off and run. He's a football player too. Have to say though, Brady made a pretty good living by not running. Levis will run more this year, bet on it.

Supposed to get up to 48° today. I'll believe it when I feel it.

Can anybody find, if you want to, any caffeine-free colas in any size/type package? I can't here in NKy. DW avoids caffeine as it affects her Meniere's Disease. What's the deal with this?
I drink water for the most part. I put sugar free, caffeine free mix in it for a poor man's Kool-Aid. I also put ground up coffee beans to flavor it at times. My wife drinks diet Sunkist and I haven't heard her say anything about it being scarce though. Oh, just realized, her drink is not caffeine free.

Bumbling Joe says it could be worse. Hope that helps.

Afternoon D leaguer's
I think Kessler from Auburn just dunked another one... valiant effort by the Cats considering.
Didn't think they would win but sure did want em too.
Fantastic football over the weekend as already mentioned.
Glad to see Bko back at it on game days. I hope she has good feelings about Tuesdays game.
Don't have much else, just another suckass Monday...

My wife's favored soda is Diet Rite (caffeine free). We can't get it. Her second favored is Caffeine free diet cokes. We struggle to find them.

It is stupid that the U.S. does not work any more.

That girl has some real talent if she drew this. Maybe she can develop it and make something of it.

Good Frosty Morning

It is a freezing 28‎° and that my D league friend is cold down here. I may have to put on a real pair of shoes. It will be sunny as we head up to 59° . What can I say other than man is using too much fossil fuel and warming the earth. So quit driving around in the gas guzzlers using high octane fuel and get a solar pickup truck or one with a windmill on the roof.

I had a pleasant surprise yesterday at church. I saw someone I thought I recognized who I had not seen since 1987. I walked over to them and sure enough it was them. They live in Iowa and come down here every year after New Years and stay in a condo on the beach until after Easter. My wife and I took them to a local restaurant and we talked about 3 hours and caught up on the past 35 years. I am amazed at how many of our mutual friends had died or divorced over those years. Life goes on until it doesn't.

Yesterday we lost another great musician, IMO, a native of Kentucky and one of my wife and my favorite pianist. We have spent many romantic evenings listening to her smooth sound as her fingers glide over the keyboard.

Beegie Adair: 1937-2022 Beegie Adair, among the busiest studio and lounge pianists in Nashville who recorded more than 100 albums starting in 1997, died on January 23. She was 84.

RIP Beegie

I love her music and have a lot of it on a Spotify playlist. I was surprised that anyone else had even heard of her.

Oh, my wife and I have listened to her for decades. I have quite a collection of her music. She is a Kentuckian and graduate of WKU. Here is a little about her.

@Bert Higginbotha my wife told me Beegie was a native of Cave City and her maiden name was Long.

She was the pianist for the Johnny Cash TV Show.

Beegie Adair is an American jazz pianist. Beginning piano lessons at age five, she continued to study piano and received her B.S. in music at Western Kentucky University. She moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where she did graduate work at Peabody College; she became a session musician working at WSM-TV and on “The Johnny Cash Show” (1969–71), where she accompanied such legendary performers as Chet Atkins, Dolly Parton, Lucille Ball, Steve Allen, Dinah Shore, Mama Cass Elliott, and Peggy Lee. She formed the Beegie Adair Trio, which has sold over 1.5 million albums.

There are days that she will be in her room or our computer room/office and be there for hours just drawing. Don't know how she does it. Below is a drawing she did when she was much younger and that is when we knew she had some talent.

I read the other day that Kentucky was in the top 3 or tied for most people to quit working. Dems want a populace dependent on government money.

@MdWIldcat55 hey I just saw your post on rafters in this thread. Excellent response! For those idiots to even pretend that Sharpe is why they hate Cal is preposterous. The reason I'm bringing it up though is you have 65 likes on that response. I never would have guessed there were that many people posting there who have a clue about basketball, let alone life in general.

Thanks for standing up and being counted!

Bertfan, hey, I really appreciate you noting that. And you are right on the money -- any excuse to hate Calipari. OF course, Calipari is far from flawless, but too many of those morons let their hate become a divisive factor in Kentucky basketball, downplaying every positive and ratcheting up every setback to be the end of the world. Doesn't help the program.

When I lived in CA Diet Rite was all I drank. I moved to AZ and it tasted completely different in a bad way and I quit drinking it. The water they use must make a difference in the taste, I suspect.

I am not much into carbonated sodas (Coke). My wife is addicted to them which I attribute to growing up in Kentucky. Kentuckians must drink more cokes than any place on earth.

My drinks are pretty much limited. In this order
Water right out of the tap
iced sweet tea
coffee
citrus juices
V8 juice
milk

It is a rare day I have any carbonated drink. Wine or alcohol is even less. I am a dull soul

Just because someone puts on a cap or Tshirt doesn't make them a fan. Most of those people are fans of winning, not of the Wildcats per se. Bandwagon fans who have never set foot in Rupp except for the odd rap concert. It's a shame that their voices are so loud.

Like you, I have bones to pick with Cal at times, but I've seen enough in my time to know we aren't going to do any better than him for the foreseeable future.

He said he promised Shaedon's parents that he wouldn't play until he was ready to play. None of them are willing to even think of the fact that Cal doesn't own these players. Some have left and he told us that he told them they should stay for another year, or two. He can't bear total responsibility for every decision a kid makes.

A player like Askew is skewered by the same people who claim to hate the one and done and long for players who stay 4 years. Why would anyone want to stay?

Good evening, D-League!

Just so you know- NFL Football is unfair. Chris Collinsworth said so.

Mice suck too. Time is fleeting. Orange striped cats hate Mondays and love lasagna.

Jim Harbaugh may be leaving Michigan. Michigan may be cheating.

UL is being harmed because they wouldn't cooperate fully with an investigation and doesn't want to fire coaches until told they have to fire coaches. It's "criminal" that the NCAA is "holding them hostage" over all the allegations and proven cheating. Criminals' rights and all......

Bengals won a road playoff game and now they have a dynasty in the making. "All should worship and be afraid..."

Hope TyTy and Wheeler get back to 100%. I may have to start watching basketball to avoid the whining about football now. Still not going to rafters. Some of those folks have been ruining the football board, so I'm going to show them how to stay off the grass.

Wife is making shepherd's pie a day AFTER national pie day, but I'm going to allow it! May watch a movie tomorrow if I get a couple projects done in time. Gonna go sit in a (hopefully) empty theater and eat some free popcorn for as long as I can stand what's playing in front of me. Then go enjoy the scent of cigars and a bourbon or scotch neat for about an hour.

Hope your and yours are all doing well!

MIL tested positive for COVID yesterday. She started coming down with symptoms Saturday morning. My wife stayed with her last week while Step-FIL was in the hospital so obviously we had to get tested too. Made an appointment at Sullivan University today and the guy doing the swab stuck that sucker so far up my nose I swear I spotted some gray matter on the tip. Won't know the results for 24-48 hours but so far we're asymptomatic.

UL, at least the people on their rivals board, have mostly decided that they will just get rid of Mack and replace him with Bruce Pearl. Not one of them has questioned whether or not Pearl would leave Auburn to go there. They just assume he will if they offer. I think they're banking on that "birds of a feather flock together" angle.

A legitimate concern in the Appalacians - Mountain Dew Mouth.

I don't drink carbonated drinks either. But simply because I don't prefer them.

Sir,

The worst water I ever had was in Arizona (Fort Huachuca) and Texas (Goodfellow AFB), I lived in San Antonio too for six years and the water there was not better. Regurgitated pool water at best. (W/Chlorine...)

In SA a whole house water softener and an RO system barely allowed to drink the water. I swear by the RO water system.

But a goodun Sir! In my estimation...

Speaking for myself, I drink a coke when I eat at a restaurant which is not too often. I drink coffee (Black most of the time. Never sugar.), tea sometimes(no sugar), water (RO water), milk, buttermilk, and coffee. My coffee is weak in comparison to starbucks or such as that. I use a four cup coffee-maker and a hefty tablespoon of Folgers regular blend. My daughter bought me a cup of black starbucks coffee one time, I sipped it, dumped it in a pitcher and added four or five of that same cup full of water (RO), then used the microwave. Then a Yuengling three of four times a week. I be dull too Sir. Too much salt in V8 for me, I like the less sodium variety but usually just pass it by. My Darling makes a drink with sliced lemon's, limes, and cucumbers with a couple other fruits or vegetables I really like and can't get her to make it often enough.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 47°F and cloudy with light winds. Expecting 57°F for our high.

Game tonight vs Bulldogs starts at 9 pm from Rupp. Listened to Coach Cal's show last night. Said both Tyty and Sahvir are likely game-time decisions. He implored everyone with a ticket to attend. Go Cats!

Partial office return was scheduled for us this week until latest COVID wave hit. My former brother in-law currently in the hospital with it. Stay safe, y'all.

Wishing happiness and health for all our fellow D-League members.
