Morning Legionnaires!

America is back! The people have spoken.

Enough said.
I don't recall if I have told you, but I have a cousin who retired a few years ago from the army. He was a Green Beret and retired as the first Sgt for Petraeus. He lives near Fort Campbell and is very active in veteran's stuff. He just did a meet and greet for all the recruiters in his area last week.

Still too early to really evaluate the Cats, but I don't remember Calipari teams passing the ball as good as this one does even against cupcake opponents this early in the season. Nor shoot as well either. Maybe I missed it.

I got stoned and I missed it, I got stoned and I missed it. I got stoned and it rolled right on by.

Good morning folks.

The Cats definitely looked ready in their final tune up before Duke. Not a great team shooting game but excellent ball movement to get good shots. And we know these guys will make their share.

Calipari’s teams would have one of these cupcake games where the team was cold and he’d take the air out of the ball and win by 12 while scoring 70. This is more fun.

Oh yeah, and remember the “jinx” of the Bucknell basketball sticker I spotted on a car in the subway? Well, I was headed downtown anyway, so I parked along side him with my car that has a large UK DAD sticker in the back windshield. Neutralized the jinx. He has gone when I got back and had to see my car, so I wonder if he thought, “damn, what are the odds that on the day we play Kentucky, a guy parks next to me with a UK sticker in DC? BBN is everywhere!”

Heading out for a run. Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning all,

Sitting in front of my church drinking coffee.

Contemplating what's next. I have much to do and being dragged in a lot of directions. Trying to keep self out of it to make the best decisions. No worries but darn, I'd like to take a vacation. ;)

Haven't watched a John Wayne movie in months....

Have a day Blessed by God.....

Still figuring out the cheapest way to watch the Cats. (Not going the dishonest way.)

Hope your day is going well for you all...
ESPN+ is roughly $12 a month. That ain't bad.

Although the SEC Network package is screwing UK I will pay to watch my Cats. Plus the other games on ESPN+, after they have played, they take most of the commercials out and you see basically the game.

UK should hold ESPN to the promises made when they got the SEC package. Those bastards make us pay for Big Blue Madness the Blue White game etc.

Yes Sir,

I just saw that, probably the way I will go. I sure like that there is no contract. Thanks

Are you looking to cut the cable cord for TV? I use Roku devices with YouTube TV and it's cheaper than Spectrum cable service. Supposedly Sling TV is one of the cheapest.
I use Spectrum for my internet because they give me my land line for $19.00 a month which covers North America and all U.S. territories. I use YouTube TV and add Prime, BritBox, ESPN+. Additionally my package with AT&T cell phone includes Max.

I love the DVR abilities offered by YouTube TV.

I also have Spectrum for internet and land line. Fortunately I've been able to watch the UK games televised on ESPN+ on SEC Network+ free of charge with the ESPN app. For some reason ESPN+ charges for the same game.

YouTube DVR is the best!

YouTube has sports streaming and when you search for Kentucky it will pop up with a guy streaming it. I watched the first two exhibitions and the first game that way. People send him money if you want once to help him out, but you don't have to.

Morning Legionnaires!

44° this morning with a high of 74° expected.

Played 2 co-ed games yesterday and won both (10-9 and 17-6). Last 2 regular games of the fall season. We have a tournament next Sunday to finish it up. However, in the 2nd game in the 2nd inning, I hit a screamer to right center going past the center right fielder. Seeing it had gone past him I was already around first and headed for second and decided to turn it on and head for third. Bad decision, I have had a few injuries running over the years, but they were either Achilles injuries or plantar fasciitis which I still battle. I have never had hamstrings or quads pulls. Well, erase never on quads. I had a sharp pain as I started to pick up the pace and stopped at 2nd. The good thing is that we get pinch runners so, another guy took my place. Bad thing was, we had no other pitchers there yesterday, so I had to continue to play. Luckily, we run ruled them in the 3rd and I only had to play that extra inning. Maybe no tourney for me this coming Sunday.

Oh well, lazy days for me next few days. However, the monster still needs her walk. I can still walk, and she does not pull hard (most of the time) so I should be ok.

You folks enjoy the day off and God Bless.

Good morning folks.

A thanks to all the veterans among the D-Leaguers, and to veterans everywhere.

Already grinding away at the job. Mondays are the busiest day of the week.

Looking forward to tomorrow's game. I have to say I'm oddly and optimistic and calm about the outcome. We'll see soon enough.

I hope it is a good day for all.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 59°F and clear. Today's high expected around 83°F. We'll take it.

Cats play Duke tonight. Look forward to the game. Glad @MdWIldcat55 has a good feeling about the game. Go Big Blue!

Chemo today. Leave here at 10:30 am CT. May finish around 2:30 pm after blood draw, consult and infusion.

Monday, Monday. Heading out for a walk around 6:30 am. Y'all take care.

Austin, I hope things go well with the chemo. And I can share some good news with you —at least in the east it’s Tuesday, Tuesday, not Monday, Monday…We got that dreary day over already…

I watched the final 9:17 of the 1998 Kentucky-Duke Elite Eight this morning on a BluRay copy I have. Never fails to excite.

Couldn't find the whole run on YouTube, but here's a taste to get psyched for tonight...
I have the whole thing. let me know if you need it or call Ritchie Curtis. He will be here Saturday and let me know if he over charges you.

I have the who thing. let me know if you need it.
Thanks Bert. I have a nice copy at home. One of my 3-4 favorite Kentucky games of all time. It was my daughter's first birthday and watched it with her. When the Cats got down 17 I threw my Kentucky hat across the room...SHE TODDLED OVER AND PICKED IT UP, AND BROUGHT IT BACK WITH A BIG SMILE...Somehow I knew the Cats were coming back at that moment. Pure magic.

I am actually starting to get a little excitement and nervousness about me again. For the last few years, I had been complacent knowing how badly we had been playing and that with Calipari our chances were not good. I don't want to get too much hope going with this being a new coach and a totally new team, but if we shoot well tonight, it will be hard for them to beat us. Stopping them offensively will be the big test imo.

Wish I was a betting man. (Was a little back in the day.) I'd bet a "hunert" on the Cats....
