He basically could not talk. It was pitiful. I felt sorry for the old fart.

Grassly isn't a whole lot better, and I am a Republican. These folks are perfect examples of why there should be term limits. Democrats, in California, will vote Feinstein back into office if she is on life support, and they have to wheel her in, on a ventilator.

Yep
The Democrat Party seems to have an excess of old people in office. And the majority have mental issues caused by the aging process.

And I agree with Ben, the GOP has their share too.

Yep

Good morning D, not a good day for us here! Mrs. M got a call late yesterday that when she worked Saturday, the lady she worked with tested positive for the China woo Flu! We are mad, but we are not mad at her. We are mad because some IDIOT sat on this positive test from Thursday till late Monday evening, then they decided to call the lady to tell her she was positive!!!!! She had been checking her med page and it kept telling her it was negative. We are going to Madisonville this evening to have Mrs. M tested. I ask for the D's prayers that she is negative!!!! I have already told her that if I get sick and something happens, make someone pay!!!! Someone messed upon this and someone needs to answer for it. May have to shut the bank down in two cities, because screwed up!!!! We attended a birthday party for our granddaughter Saturday and attended church Sunday. So please again we ask for your prayers!! Thanks D!!!!

You have shown us this picture before. Great photo, and you can tell you all have a great relationship. My kids had black friends and they all hung out at our house. They weren't black or white to us, they were kids. A couple of their friends went on vacation with us. Do I think there are some in this state who are prejudiced, absolutely, because I know someone who is. Do I think it is widespread, and it keeps blacks, or any other minority from becoming educated, having a good job, or living like anyone else? No. I am just offended for some to think that I am a racist, simply because I believe in the rule of law, and think this country was founded on certain principles. Principles that I see being ignored, and sometimes spit upon.
During basic training, one of my closest friends was a black guy that had attended UCLA prior to basic. Here I was from Eastern Kentucky and fresh out of high school. So you had 2 people who couldn't be any more different being friends.

God Bless you and your wife Sir in Jesus name.

Afternoon D
Lunch time....left over roast w/taters, carrots & celery. The redhead is watching out for me.
Not much else shakin' to be honest. Job is starting to "slow" down, could be because my boss has been on vacation since Thursday. He'll be back tomorrow though...
Hey Bert...need a favor. Can you post a pic of your bald head, ...I mean bald cypress tree? I need to show the redhead, it's her favorite. Just whenever you have time, no rush.

I feel like I should be excited for basketball, but I'm not.

Our local Blues society (River Basin Blues) put on a virtual Bluesfest. Check it out if you're interested. Its over 3 hours long w/10 local acts. Give it a Like...or not.

  • Good Afternoon, D-Leagueanites and Lurkers,
  • We have 73º in Cumming. Pretty much perfect weather. Bright sunshine.
  • 3 mugs of Dark Magic doing it's thing on me.
  • Voted yesterday.
  • Lola (that sweet little girl) laying at my feet taking it easy.
  • Haven't seen any wildlife, haven't been anywhere today.
  • FCC has not called. Hope he is okay.
  • We can't beat the Vols. We rarely do. They didn't beat Jawga. Jawga can't beat Alabama. Those two teams are on a different level than we are on.
  • I hear the goldfish jumping in their tiny little pond.
  • Two squirrels almost ran me over the other day on the lower deck. They were this year's, little fellows, Grays.
  • The sore knee feels better today. Progress.
  • The great-grandson came over yesterday. Cute little dude. 10 months old. almost time for his first haircut.
  • Leaves falling.
  • As you were.
  • Best wishes for the ailing,
  • Rave on. (as per Buddy Holly)

People mistakenly interchange the words "racist" and "prejudiced."

Almost everyone, regardless of race or ethnicity, is prejudiced - but almost no one admits it. It is human nature but we are not proud of this fact about ourselves. We feel more comfortable with people who are like us. Not necessarily like us in how we look, but like us in how we act and what we believe.

Unfortunately, for many reasons (real or imagined), we come to believe that most people of other races or ethnic groups are going to act or believe in certain ways that are different and that we are not comfortable with. This is prejudice.

If we take the opportunity to get to know some individuals of other races or ethnic groups we often learn that they indeed are mostly just like us. Good and decent people just trying to raise their family and get by.

It is a learning process to get past personal prejudice.

A racist, on the other hand, even if he learns that people of other races or ethnic groups are not like he thought they were going to be. still does not like them and wishes misfortune upon them.

There are racists among all races of people. They are the vast minority thankfully.

Good points.

I am "prejudiced" for my own kind.

But my own kind include blacks, whites, browns and yellows. So my "prejudiced" opinions does not mean a lot. Hell my wife is 8% Persian. Wow, I don't let her go to bed with a knife. ;)

I love humans. We must reject the divide and conquer crap.

Will be praying for you and the Mrs (and her coworker). I'm sure that everything will turn out OK for you all.

Personally I don't see the Cats winning more than 4 games this year. Gotta be realistic. I mean it's all SEC teams they play. They're history isn't exactly stellar when it comes to conference play.

Yesterday was the anniversary of John Denver's death (1997). I'll go on record and say that I liked his music.

John Denver made some seriously good music. Went nuts thinking he could sing however he wanted after he made his dough and then seemed to go space-cadet but the boy could sing. I have an autographed picture. (My brother was a corporate jet pilot before he retired and got me the signed picture after flying him around for his company when he was doing concerts.)(I thought about selling it but looked on ebay and they don't go for much even though I never see the picture he signed that I have. John was younger in the picture I have but it is signed Peace, John Denver.)

One thing though................................. That is a mighty "Dainty" picture (above)
