Been outside working for the last two hours. Sweaty. Had to use a hammer to put all the staples in the rest of the way. Cheapo electric stapler wouldn't drive them all the way in. Luckily there are only a couple hundred of them.
Heading to the hardware store to pick up some nails and also some springs for the doors. I'm not going to use latches. I'll make a couple of handles for the outside to make it easier to open on the way in, but on the way out I'll just push.
Guess I've cooled off enough. Back to the grind.
Are there still 7-11 stores?

Got plenty done today and then a friend showed up with beer at the same time a storm rolled through. Not much after that.

Agreed! Eastern KY gets poked fun of all the time. It actually pisses me off because that's where my Dad and his family was from. My Grandfather worked for the L&N RR and they moved from Lee Co to Breathitt Co to Fayette. Anyway, I get a bit "ALIEN" when people poke fun of the mountain people. It's a beautiful part of the state and if you make a friend from there then you've made a friend for life.
Pissed me off, too. Our family still owns a house in SE KY (sale pending). .

Happy Friday D-League. Hot and then rainy in the east. I've been offered free tickets to a professional soccer game this evening but I've never really been able to get into it, and the idea of sitting through a probable thunderstorm is unappealing in the extreme. I think I'll round up a couple of work buddies and go to a bar instead.

Good Friday Morning D League
Nice day today but we may have a few scattered showers. But five minutes after it ends you wouldn't know it rained. It is currently 74° with a high of 87° forecast. I promised my wife I would take her vehicle in to get a front headlight replaced. The service manager told me they may have to take the grill off to change it. Said allow two hours. RIDICULOUS is what I said. Why are they making cars so difficult to maintain? What happened to the days when I could change my headlight in five minutes and not have to take the car apart.
Other than that it should be a wonderful day. The radio man just said now that we are into hurricane season it would be good if you trimmed your trees of any dead branches or limbs.. Dead limbs slamming into your neighbors house is not cool when you could have trimmed them. Be careful out there.

Good morning! Moving kinda slow this morning after 3 straight days of working out in the heat.
Had a nice afternoon shower roll through yesterday afternoon that probably dropped a half inch or more on my yard and it looks nice and green today. Won't last long though if it goes for a week without any more.
Might do most of my work in the shop today with a fan blowing on me.

Good morning D! Haven't been around much with Dr. appointments, cancelled Dr. appointments (still pissed at this one)! and working on my deck-a-lanai.
So I was supposed to have an appointment with my kidney Dr. yesterday, I get a call telling me that your appointment has been cancelled because "YOU" didn't get "YOUR ULTRASOUND", they didn't tell me that I had to have one done! That's all I am going to say!
My other one was with my ENT DR. on Wednesday about the ringing in my ears, which is getting worse. I found out that I have Meniere's disease, (ringing in ears and dizziness) which I had never heard of. He asked me lots of questions which some I could answer and some I just couldn't because like I told him, I have had this for over 40 plus years and it's like you become immune to some of the things that go on around me. He just told me I had 4 things that really contributed to it, guns, working with 20 machines 10 hours a day, 35+ years of carpet installing (constant banging of hammer on metal tamping tool) and military service armor division. So we are going to talk later about hearing aids.
For you that have lost loved ones, you are still in my thoughts and prayers every day!!!!
