Couldn’t like your post hon due to content. but I will comment
I don’t know how the HELL anyone could forget their child in a car
And telling people to put something “valuable” in the back seat to remind you? Seriously???????
What is more valuable and precious than your child?

Please forgive the language...I’m usually quite mild with my words as several here can attest :sunglasses:
I agree wholeheartedly with you. It's beyond sad when someone can forget their child, yet remember to grab their cell phone.

Good morning! Moving kinda slow this morning after 3 straight days of working out in the heat.

Had a nice afternoon shower roll through yesterday afternoon that probably dropped a half inch or more on my yard and it looks nice and green today. Won't last long though if it goes for a week without any more.

Might do most of my work in the shop today with a fan blowing on me.

Don't take any wooden nickels.

I'll bet Austin would take a wooden nickel.

I have eaten coon and groundhog, never possum.
Back in the 70's an organization I belong to had a "Wild Game Cookout" at Cedar Key and we had this as well as rattlesnake, gator, wild hog, etc.

But an incident I witnessed in Central Texas about 25 years ago convinced me to never put possum meat close to my mouth. I had to inspect a gas turbine at a pipeline relay station and it was in the middle of a ranch. A big ranch. About 30 feet from the relay point lay a dead cow. Probably struck by lightning that hit the turbine. I literally saw a possum crawling out of the rectum of the cow. The cowboy with me laughed and said the possums go up the cow's rectum and digestive tract to find foot. Corn, grain, etc. Nature at it's finest.

I asked him if he would eat possum and we both laughed. He said it was one of the nastiest creatures on earth.

Back in the 50s and 60s when we ate what we shot, my Grandmother was talked in to cooking a possum on our Thanksgiving meal. After she dumped grease out of the cooking pan about the 10th time, she said that's it, and dumped possum and all out in the ditch. She said never again. And from the smell, we agreed.

BBQed coon was a different story. Good. Dark meat. Killed a groundhog with a coke bottle one time.

Proud to be a Bluegrass American with my MAGA hat on. CATS. FCC.

Me too. Coon and woodchuch. Along with squirrel, rabbit, hare, black bear, whitetail, mule deer, elk, bison, sheep, cow, goat, hog and peccary. Never mind the variety of reptiles, birds, fish & assorted invertebates. But never a marsupial. Probably reflects opportunity. Being omnivorous, seems I generally forage on whatever is in greatest abundance. Never heard anything about a tasty possum.

I notice WC bears a resemblence to Phil Manzanera (white guitar & shoes)

You may work with a cousin of mine. Retired from the Air Force, then went back to work at Fort Sill. If you know anybody from Paducah that may be him. He lives in Lawton I think. I would put his name on here but I just don't like doing that.
Don't know anyone around here from Paducah but, did work with one Air Force retiree from California.

Good Saturday morning D League

Trust all are doing well and ready for a relaxing week end. I checked outside and the thermometer reads 74° and the weather girl said we should see 87° by mid afternoon. Barry is visiting Louisiana and will drop a lot of rain. We will have intervals of showers but we are heading to a dryer forecast. With lots of sunshine. It may get into the low 90's next week with the rain moving on out. I smell sausage frying so I best get out of here.

Good morning! I am awake way too early this morning. Need to time it to where I wake up after the coffee is made.

Guess I'll work on some trim today. Too close to the end to slow down now.

One of the attorney's at my wife's office is helping us with all the estate stuff but she's doing it under the table so we don't have to pay the steep price of dealing with her firm.

Bob Ross did 381 paintings on his show. Sometimes I turn it on as background noise but I'm always drawn in. Dude is like human valium. He really does explain and demonstrate it in a way that makes a person think "It's so easy a Bluegrass American could do it".

The pundits are underestimating YOUR UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY WILDCATS on the gridiron this year. They think last year was a fluke made possible by two guys. That's going to cost someone a lot of money. I'm going to hit the OVER pretty hard at 6.5 wins.

We have 4 OOC games that we should walk away with. Arkansas is UK in the first seasons of probation. UT at home, UF at home. There's 7 right there.

Good morning D-League. Heading out early to hike in the Harper’s Ferry area. It’s a striking area that Thomas Jefferson once called the most beautiful in America. Of course very few had seen Kentucky by then, or the Grand Canyon, for example.

Hope everyone has a fun day planned.

Harper's Ferry is nice. One of my railroad friends retired to Harper's Ferry area. He still loves it.

In my view the Appalachians are more beautiful than the Rocky Mountains. They lack the heights and grandeur of the Rocky’s, but I think are more beautiful. The Grand Canyon is grand and massive, but still in my book not a beautiful as the Appalachians. I love the humid east where things grow.

It is 69.4°F and cloudy. We got a 20% chance of rain, but it looks like it is a 100% chance.

I took it easy yesterday, but had to go get eggs. I went to the IGA and the I-65 area of town was crammed with people. Gas had gone up from $2.48 Tuesday to $2.69 yesterday. I had to park in the back of the parking lot and then got my eggs and bananas and then waited in line.

There were a bunch of campers and RV's and guys buying a bunch of beer. The two guys in front of me each were buying two cases each. There is going to be some fun at the local lakes this weekend.

I am in 100% agreement with you. I too think the world is over looking a solid UK football team. I am so confident I have blocked everything off of my calendar during the bowl season in anticipation of a good bowl game to attend. At the minimum I expect a Florida bowl game. If things break in our favor we could play an even better bowl. I think this is the year we handle UT and I think we should beat UF again this year and get a two game winning streak started. So I see 7 minimum and expect more.
