Purdue job is coming open. From a “fit” perspective, this is probably the best hope we have, short of Iowa unexpectedly opening up. He can go up there about $6 mil/year and play his preferred style in the cold while aiming toward 6-7 win seasons and they’ll be relatively fine with it. Come on down, Purdue, we’ve found your man.

I can’t find a link, but apparently Matt Jones is saying he expects Brad White to leave and Mike Stoops to retire. Did he say that on the post game show? I didn’t listen to it.

The names Steve Clinkscale and Matt House were mentioned as likely DC replacements. I think you have to go get both of these guys. Clink needs to be DC, he’s an elite coach IMO.

But also, apparently Bush is back along with going all in on Cutter Boley. It’s said that fixing the OL and getting personnel in fits his system…

If the OL/offense isn’t fixed, I can’t even at least be delusional in some positivity. If Neal Brown gets fired I’d love to have him back as OC. But it seems Mark is doubling down on Bush…ughhh

Brown already out at UNC... who do yall think will be next? If that job opens up it will set off a chain reaction that will affect a few different jobs...guess it would depend on which ones open up whether it would affect us or not. Lincoln Riley sure has fallen from grace at USC too... another coach that I could see getting the boot.

I put together this table showing where UK's class ranking (per 247sports) placed out of the SEC teams and where we finished at the end of each season. Do we realistically think things can get better with the addition of Texas/Oklahoma?

Stoops talked to Texas A&M last year. Didn't he have the same line in his contract as Cal did that if he entertained offers from other institutions that he would lose his buy out ?
I'm not a Stoops hater ,but I hated what I saw this year. That was a complete and total mess of a product. And for all the lashing out at Bush Hamdan ,Brad White was far worse because he actually had some talent on that side of the ball and they were severely under coached. Tackling was pathetic and since D'erek Jackson went down,no one was coached up to get the front set right at the LOS,even with a voice in the head gear! They were outnumbered on the LOS to a disgrace both against Texas and Louisville. It would have been stupid for either of them to throw more than a half dozen passes .
And Matt Jones makes himself even look more ignorant when he constantly praises Brad White and even sticks him up as the next head coach from time to time. That would be a psunami of piss poor football.

For all the talk of how Stoops propped up the program, he has done an epic job of doing less with more this year than any coach in UK history this year.

I know they fired Fuller in November and Randy Shannon took over, but can’t find much online about potential permanent replacements. It seems Shannon’s contract is up after next season.

Seems like a great landing spot IMO but I’m in “grasping at straws” mode right now.

Stoops was already looking to get out and his debacle with aTm makes it clear that he truly doesn’t believe he can build a contender at UK. And if the head guy doesn’t believe it, there’s no way it’s going to happen with him at the helm.

Have to admit, I was shocked at how decisively Barnhart went for the kill when Calipari left an opening.

Even though Stoops hasn't violated his contract that I know of, part of me thinks that if Barnhart is given the green light, he might go Billy Jack on Stoops.

Everybody knows that Barnhart is cut from the Leave it to Beaver mold. I would have to think that if the rumors are true about Stoops and his posse going all Animal House around Lexington, that could bring out the beast that dwells in Barnhart.

As the story goes, Chuck Norris looks under his bed for Mitch Barnhart before he goes to sleep.

Ansley is one of my favorite Cats on this team. Dude absolutely deserves to be here, and I hope he feels nothing but love from our fanbase. I hope we get some background on him at some point, because I don't think he quite understands the support system he has behind him just yet.

That's all. I hope BBN shows him plenty of love.

It, at times, was torturous to endure. A complete cluster-**** of errors. The fans don’t deserve what we received this season especially from a coach who tried to escape last season.

I am now ready to continue to embrace this phenomenal UK Basketball team and Coach Pope and forget all about Stoops for a while.

Pope deserves all the love for the ride he’s already taking us on. I’m thankful that I’ve got that to look forward to.

Cheers to all who kept the faith this football season. It was brutal.
