I've been thinking (scary I know) about when the Longhorns become card-carrying members of the SEC, how should we refer to them ?? What I mean by this is like The Wildcats are UK, Miss State is abbreviated MSU, Louisiana State is LSU, etc. We already have South Carolina and most call them USCjr so I was thinking Texas - who has a much better tradition and class (relatively speaking) - is the real UT. What do you think we should refer to the Vols as ?? I mean aside from convicts and some other terms I can't use (JR's orders on name calling), I was thinking UTjr.

Y'all give your best, or worst, suggestions !!

The reasons I’m worried

1. Loss to UNCW
2. Loss to A&M
3. Loss to South Carolina

Those are games you do not lose, it just worries me because elite teams do not lose those 3 games especially the UNCW game.

Now can this team still make a run? Of course. But they will rely heavily on their offensive play because defense is non existent. Do you have faith this team can stay hot for 6 games straight in March? I just don’t know, hopefully it changes before the tournament but I won’t get my hopes up.

Manhandled. Pick and roll defense clinic.

SCjr schooled us on pick and roll defense and got what they wanted in the other end. Our guards coughed it up, and got pushed back, the whole game They manhandled us from start to finish. We should press that bunch from the time they walk in the gym if we see them again. Our out of bounds defense is the worst I have ever seen. We got nothing on offense.

Seven Draft Picks (2024) and Two (2025)

Lottery or Mid-first round (2024)

Big Z
Dilly
Reed

Late first round or early second (2024)

DJ
Edwards
Bradshaw
Reeves

Potential first round (2025)

Thiero (with more playing time and no injury he is possibly drafted in 2024)
Ugonna

And we have the one coach whose ego, stubbornness, antiquated mindset, and inability or refusal to change lineups and strategies will turn this collection of players into a Sweet 16 team at best.
