Tickets this weekend

Good morning HOB, if not allowed please delete me! I'm making a trip to lexington with my fiancé for the basketball and football game this weekend. This will be her first kentucky basketball game (she's a police officer and native of illinois, so her allegiance to the other ugly orange was hard to break, but I finally got there) we plan on going to the football game tomorrow. I don't get to make it home as often as I would like until recently when I got stationed in great lake, so I was looking for some help. I'm hoping to find good seats tonight at rupp, but most sites ays the seats are sold or are pretty pricey, would it be better to pull the trigger on tickets now or wait until tonight to see if any lowers become available? I know in the past I have waited until a few hours before tip/kickoff and snagged pretty good seats, just wondering if that's still the best route.

If anyone has good seats for tonight or tomorrow that may not be able to use them, i will definitely interested in purchasing. If this is against the rules, I apologize ahead of time

First 6 Weeks of SEC Slate - Brutal

Peeking at our schedule and man, the first six weeks of our SEC schedule is OUCH.

Ranked UF at home 1/4
@UGA 1/7
@ possibly ranked MSU 1/11
Possibly ranked A&M at home 1/14
Ranked Bama at home 1/18
@Vandy 1/25 (no idea how they'll be this year, but that court...)
@ ranked UT 1/28
Possibly ranked Arkansas at home 2/1
@ possibly ranked Ole Miss 2/4
Home vs. USCjr 2/8
Ranked UT at home 2/11

Goodness...I'd like to see us come out of that meat grinder of a schedule with 2 or less losses, but that's going to be tough. Good thing is, everyone else has a similar schedule thanks to the power of the SEC this year. Wouldn't surprise me to see several teams battling for 1st place with 3-5 conference losses by mid-Feb.

Very proud of a former student of mine, Jeremiah Fears. He scored 26 tonight against Arizona.

He went off tonight against Arizona and scored 26 points as Oklahoma beat Zona.

He's now averaging 18 points per game through six games. He also already has 15 steals through six games.

I'm hoping he hits the portal someday and transfers to Kentucky. He told me UK was his favorite school of all time, but we didn't have room for him when he reclassified.

The Offense

“When we get right, we actually really, really punish teams for pressuring. And that’s just, it’s going to be a growth phase for us to understand what that looks like and what it means. We don’t quite have that feel. We never got a late cut. We didn’t get over back door. We didn’t really work the second side well. We were kind of dying in the corner and would get to a second lift and then be dying in the corner on the rotation. There is so much more in the tank for our guys to feel out and it’s just a matter of getting the reps to do it, getting the reps to do it.” - Coach Pope after the WKU game
However, This offense is just in its infancy. The movement to get open 3 point shots has been successful. We have only seen glimpses of the cutting action that occurs when defenses sell out to pressure the 3 point shooters. The back doors and late cuts will be seen more as our guys begin to master the offense. Also watch when our guy either dribbles off the high pick (Amari or BG) or receives a pass from the post as they are cutting to the basket. BYU would have a shooter in either corner to occupy 2 defenders. They have to make a decision - stay with their man and give up a layup or help and leave the 3 point shooters open. As CMP said, we need more reps both in practice and the games as we are still in the growth phase. Fellow fans, we have a Coach and coaching staff that I feel is 2nd to none!
