One of, if not the best, players in the country looked like she just tore her ACL in the tourney against Mississippi St. Knee just gave out and buckled and had to be carried off the floor.
I’ll assume the majority of all losses suffered by Sweet 16 teams came against SEC teams. I suspect that is a first, unless the ACC pulled that off the year they had 6 teams in the S/16.
We beat Duke early, and I think Bama and Auburn both beat Houston, early.
If someone had the time, it would be interesting to see just how many losses suffered by the combined Sweet 16 teams were to SEC teams.
Love this team.
I’ve been blessed to see some great ones but this one is special and will always be one of my favorites.
Thanks guys and thanks Coach Mark Pope.
Looking back at box scores and lineups, this will be the third time we have played this Tennessee team, but the first time they have played this UK team … GBB🏀
That smile on his face after the layup high off the glass from a Butler feed, made my day. He has the motor and the athleticism. I would like to see him bulk up and work with someone in the off-season to add a couple of moves to his repoitoire.
Revenge is one of the best motivators in life. Vols will be playing harder than ever, so hard that we're an underdog.
Auburn a few years ago- we beat them twice and they got us in the tourney.
UNC- We beat them early part of the season, they returned the favor in the elite 8.
UCLA - They beat us at Rupp with Ball, then we returned the favor in the tourney with Fox putting on a show.
Indiana- They beat us with the Watford shot, we returned the favor and hung 100 on them.
Umass with Cal - They beat us with Camby, we returned the favor in the tourney.
Wisconsin in 2015 - It wasn't the same season, but those nerds said they were crushed from the season prior and begged for an opportunity at revenge.
Hindsight is 20-20, but I wouldn't have minded a home loss to the hillbillies this year. Ziegler, Mayshack and Lanier are counting the mins. I don't like this game, I may seek counseling.
Seven times in the Sweet 16 - yes, a couple of teams sh!t the bed early, and some of the top seeds struggled more than expected, but that’s true of every conference, and for the most part all the top seeds held and serve and a couple of lower seeds pulled some upsets.
UK bball is a big step up on and off the court. I have to give it to CMP for his efforts. Recruiting, BBN, NIL, contacts, scheduling, media, personal demands on time, resources, travel, pressure, and on and on.
I bet it takes years to adapt. He’s learning and doing great with it.
With the reports that our showing in Milwaukee on Friday was poor compared to past years, curious if anyone decided to drive up for the game today. I was going to go, but I ended up having to work today.
Just tuning in. Maybe someone can provide more details. Stoops just stated UK football is absolutely ready for this new era of college sports. Matt is really pressing him on this, as he should.
Rick Pitino is devastated after No. 2 seed Saint John’s falls to Arkansas during March Madness round of 32. It’s another bitter loss to his rival John Calipari.I made this using Clonos.io. Check my...
Forgive me if it is a stupid question as I’ve never really tuned into the coaches call in show before. Pope has me so fired up as a fan I wanted to listen tonight but did not get the chance. Any replays floating around out there? If he was able to have one, not sure what they do during the tournament
Has entered the portal Per Joe Tipton. Almost 15ppg and a 42% 3 shooter who announced his departure from Virginia. Seems like a guy Mark Pope will be all over
