Discipline will always be a problem with Jeff Brohm teams. They beat themselves with stupid, moronic penalties. He did this at Purdue for years.
Over the last few weeks the UofL fans were feeling pretty confident that this would be the year that they would finally end their losing streak against us. In all honesty I felt the same way. But now I believe that if we get all of our defensive players back that's been injured. I fully expect to us beat them again. If they can't beat this UK team their fans will tar & feather Brohm.

Clemson (Future UK Opponent) at Boise State (Today at 1:30 PM EST)

Probably the best game of the day.

A huge chance for Clemson to get a QUAD 1 win on the road against an NCAA Team. They also play San Francisco (will be a QUAD 1/2 win if they get it) next week.

Kentucky plays Clemson on December 3rd, which could end up being a QUAD 1 win for Kentucky. Thus, rooting for Clemson to win these big games before playing the Cats.

You do realize Stoops has exceeded EVERY coach that preceded him? I’m okay with whatever Stoops decides to do. (It will 100% be his decision this year for multiple reasons.) He’s earned the right to stay another year and try to fix it. I also agree that he looks tired, and he’ll have to find a renewed energy and optimism if he stays.

My original point is that fans are illogical and sticking their head in the sand if they think that hiring a new coach is the only/best way to fix a program. Do 5 mins of research and look up the hit/success rate of hiring a new coach in the SEC. On avg, 1 out of every 3 hires is a success AT schools with rich football history. When you factor in MissSt, Vandy, Arkansas, OleMiss, SC, and some others, then it drops down below 1 out of 3.

Here’s where most everyone agrees. We cannot and should not stay where we are. 6-7 wins should be be FLOOR. However, Stoops is the only coach that has been able to raise that floor for any length of time. He’s also shown he can get us to 10 wins, and that puts us knocking on the 12 team CFP.

Big Question - Can he get us back to where he once had us? I don’t pretend to know that answer. What I do know is that a new coach is not as guaranteed as people want to make it out to be. History reveals this to be true.

At some point, changes do have to be made. Both of those statements can be true.
People wake up. If you fire Stoops and hire another coach and he fails then you fire that one and hire another. Do it til you get it right. End of story.

POLITICAL THREAD

PA has gotten McCormick's lead down to 17K votes. :(
Because the blue counties are counting spoiled ballots. I predict they magically give Casey a victory. And this goes to the Supreme Court and we wind up with podcast 20 years from now talking about how controversial this election was. Liberals loves to call them getting caught cheating controversial.

The red counties should just hold all the spoiled ball ballots they have until then and recount with those.

All lies... can see the derangement, the broken person, all in the eyes; the gaslighting they did to these people is truly reprehensible.

People, especially women sound really dumb when they end every sentence with a rising inflection, i.e. Christine Blasey Ford.

UK Women vs. UofL

Great win LadyCats, I noticed in one of the write ups Jeff Walz said we gave the game away, lol. Every time we play a Louisville team no matter what sport and we win, their coach will say something like that. They are so eat up with envy and jealousy they can’t ever just say, we got our ass beat. They will alway play second fiddle to UK in this state, always.

Being a Kentucky fan, I have seen some amazing losses but that one would be up there with any gut punch we have ever taken.

Was a total dumbass move for Brohm to go for it on fourth and 11 - should have punted and taken his chances in overtime with much the better team.

Then back to back to back penalties gave Stanford the only chance they had.
Absolutely. You punt the football and go to overtime. It’s the ONLY call to make there. It’s why every staff should have a “Common Sense” coaching position. They wouldn’t be involved in recruiting, game planning or even participating in practice other than to observe. His job on game day would be to follow the coach around and give the coaches advice on game and time management, when to go for it and when to punt, when to go for a 2 point PAT, when to kick a FG to get the points, and most importantly, to keep coaches from pulling the dumbassery like Bear Brohm did yesterday. 🤔
