Boley looked good

I know this was Murray St, but Boley had some nice zip and touch on his throws. His pocket awareness wasn't great, but the Oline failed a couple of times too. He's my QB2 going forward.
I think despite a couple of sacks when guys were unblocked he did as good as Brock in the pocket. He didn't rush to bail and took time to go through his progressions instead of locking onto a receiver and waiting so long for them to come open that he took a sack.

Right on cue: the recipe for a team turmoil is brewing at Arkansas.

The coach seems to think otherwise.
He very succinctly explained that he was creating a problem for them because they were hyper focused on denying him the ball. This created, according to Pope, an opportunity for other actions to be more effective.
Sounds better than we just have to fight.
Exactly, Jaxson played the role of decoy all night. I, sure he didn’t play his best but he found a lot of ways to contribute to that game outside scoring as well.

It's almost like most of the guys that Cal recruited that now play in the NBA would've gotten there playing for any number of other coaches, because they were just that good and not because Cal has some magic "NBA" wand that he wields. Even the Nick Richards of the world got there because they worked their tails off and they wanted it badly. I'm not a Cal hater, but I definitely think his role in getting guys to the NBA has been waaayyyyyyy overstated. He has recuited NBA players, period!
The stage that UK provided did more for those players' NBA futures than Cal did.

Heck, Cal hurt more players than helped. The guys that actually needed his help, got pushed to the side so guys like Boston, Edwards and DJ could work through their flaws.

Cal takes the credit for getting kids drafted, but I don't see anyone outside Richards and WCS that he actually helped.

Also, the NBA doesn't run anything close to the stuff Cal runs, so I have no idea why he thinks he's preparing kids for the league. They were going pro despite Cal.

POLITICAL THREAD

According to the Congressional Research Service, President Ronald Reagan made 240 recess appointments (average 30 per year) and President George H. W. Bush made 77 recess appointments (average 19 per year).

President Bill Clinton made 139 recess appointments (average of 17 per year).

President George W. Bush made 171 recess appointments (average of 21 per year).

President Barack Obama made 32 recess appointments (through February 1, 2015), all to full-timepositions
How many were cabinet level appointments? And how many were to ram through appointment(s) that apparently would not be successful even in a friendly Senate?

The light bulbs are finally turning on.

A slight tangent:

Time heals most wounds. But Cal is a wound that will fester for a long time.

I never thought there would be a more egregious slap in the face than when Pitino went to Louisville. But now Pitino has been welcomed back by many (most?).

But Cal did something that many will never forgive. He dissed the fanbase. He dissed the program. He snubbed his nose at big-money boosters that supported the program financially for decades. He fought with the administration. He bad-mouthed his boss. He called us Basketball Bennies. He preached the player was more important than the University. I could go on.

I'm not sure I'll ever forgive Pitino for what he did, but he at least has always professed love for UK. Cal? Not so much.

TV

Back on the internet tonight. What a joke of a TV schedule. Bring back Bromley and JP Sports.
I signed up before the first game when I saw there were a few early season games for $11 I believe, then cancelled afterwards but still had the remainder of the month to watch the rest of the games. Basically, I will have paid $3 per game before my subscription expires. Not bad considering the product that is being put on the court!

And that’s if you don’t watch anything else that is on there (ESPN+/ SEC+)👍🏼

I agree. But Jaxson played too many minutes for how poorly he played.
