I don’t think people Understand just how much Mitch despised Cal. Yet he still sucked up his pride and orchestrated that public sit down and vote of confidence a few days before Cal overplayed his hand. I think AD’s in general have a shit job and that had to be an all time shit week for ours. At least he’s pulled off two good bball hires this past year.

Yeah, I was talking about this the other day. It doesn't make sense that Calipari's teams always seem to have people out with injuries, and then stay out for longer periods of time, while most other teams remain relatively healthy and return from minor injuries quickly. I have a couple theories...

1. Some of Calipari's more pampered players don't prepare themselves properly. They don't stretch well. They don't work out and lift weights much. They just depend on their athleticism and Cal lets them get away with it because they're favorites. They try to get out there and go 100% in games and they get injured.

2. His players who do get injured and, because of the same permitted laziness I mentioned in #1, they don't return quickly from injury because Calipari's "players first" mantra doesn't require them to work as hard as they can to get back.

#3 Cal is just snake-bit and unlucky and his players just get injured more often than other teams' players.

#4 Cal pushes his players too hard and they end up injured more often because they're pushing themselves to please him. Once they get injured, he feels guilty and doesn't push them to get back quickly.

I think it's #1 and #2.

Thank goodness putin is only killing Ukrainians with intermediate range missiles now, i guess. Also, I see today putins word is good and honest on what's he's doing. How do you guys decipher which is which?

Also, this idea that ukraine "have a bunch of fight still in them" ...they're actually struggling with desertion...not to mention because entire generations of ukranians have been wiped away.

Thanks for the heads up. Like hearing new names for kids that are going to likely end up in the portal.

The board needs a recruiting thread for the portal. Players we’d like to see Pope go after, or think might be good targets. Think the portal will be so crucial to Pope’s success (I know it’s crucial for everyone these days, but I think it’s uniquely so for Pope)

I mean after seeing what he can do putting together an entire roster from the portal, I would think UK will be on a lot of transfers’ minds.
