Carbon copy? Good gawd, no! Tubby might not be the best coach in the country, but he is competent, humble, and a good, down-to-Earth person. He never dodged a question, never made fun of the fanbase, never put his desires above the wants and needs of BBN and the program. He remains among my all-time favorite people ever to be associated with the program.

NIL will not solve the poor time management issues or the lack of player discipline on the field . The offensive scheme also is confusing and inconsistent . Coaching in football is more important than any other sport and requires 24/7 hands on devotion. Since Stoops marital issues surfaced it seems as if we have trended downward as a program and he seems distracted. The change in his physical appearance and body language is further evidence of this. NIL will not fix that.

Well asking for unrealistic money is the same as ducking. He knew what he was doing. He witnessed what Ngannau did to Miocic, while he was still in his prime. He wanted no part of him.

We played UGA for the SEC East title a few years ago. The point isn’t that we can never compete, it’s that we aren’t going to ever consistently recruit like UGA or Bama. Given that fact, we are actually recruiting in the vicinity of our reasonable ceiling. Can we do better? Marginally, sure. Does the recruiting acumen of Stoops and Marrow mean they shouldn’t be gone at the end of the season? No.

I’m all about moving on from Stoops, it just drives me nuts that we as fans have to start denigrating the legitimate success he’s had here to somehow justify wanting him gone. He’s the best coach 95% of fans have ever had. We’re recruiting about as good as we likely ever will. He’s also gotten complacent and clearly doesn’t have the edge anymore and it’s hurting the program. Those points can both be true at the same time

Well I mean if Kentucky fans tell you a guy is good ....you should freaking listen. 🏆

I was probably too harsh but the point still stands. Showing up to play Kansas (even an exhibition) should be expected, they are number 1 in the country.

UK nearly had 48k show up to watch a shit tier football team play 1-9 Murray State so it isn't just basketball.

Part of that speech he gave was the realization that UK Fandom is just different (for better and for worse) than anywhere in the country.

For your programs sake, I hope he doesn't take you for granted like he did us.

We left a pair of pliars on top of the t.v. to change channels, after the inside of the knob broke...wasn't much channel surfing though, we only got Wave 3 (year round) and WHAS 11 (starting in the fall after the leaves had fallen off the trees)
