I really need Jaxson Robinson to show up against Clemson and Gonzaga.

He played 2 seasons in Lexington, including an injury filled sophomore campaign before transferring to UNLV to finish his college career per Wikipedia.
This is a legitimate concern and one I'm not entirely worried about. He was the 6th man for the BYU team last year and I think he's just now figuring out how and when to be aggressive as a starter.
I do have some concerns about him gunning it early in possessions but Coach Pope doesn't share those concerns so I'm just going to enjoy the ride.
The beauty is we don't have to have an "it" guy. Andrew Carr played 25 minutes yesterday (the most of any UK player) and barely got on the stat sheet.
This team is too deep to have a truly "off" night.

Maybe it's petty to keep tuning to the shadenfraude, but I think it's also quite validating - like see, we weren't crazy after all (crazy maybe, but sure as hell not stupid about our hoops).
And petty or not, as miserable as much of the past ~7 years were, we've sure as hell earned it.

Buddy of mine I work with went to Dayton, still has season tickets there, keeps up with the mid major bball scene pretty well. He was telling me all summer how complete of a player - let alone shooter - Brea is. Just raved about him. I see it now, of course. Bought his tacos and michelada at lunch today.

I don’t think I’ll ever root for Cal, or not be elated when he falls on his face. For years the guy spit in our face, mocked people who were correct, and preferred to lose his way rather than win. Am I grateful for the good years? Of course, but I will be petty forever. He disrespected the program and the fans, and I owe him nothing.

It was packed for the exhibition against Kansas. Just think not a lot of people want to make a Monday night trip against a cupcake, and when the arena is twice the size as somewhere like Duke for example it looks even worse.
It wasn’t full early on under Muss either but does seem more noticeable this year.

Well yeah, any other school compared to UK would look like they don’t support basketball. I just don’t understand the narrative that Arkansas doesn’t show up for basketball when they routinely had one of the top attendance figures in the nation under Muss and have one of largest arenas in college basketball.
Half your fan base will despise the man within two years. The short bus riders take a little longer.
I will say Dmac was fun to watch…..even in his loss to us in Fayetville.
I was probably too harsh but the point still stands. Showing up to play Kansas (even an exhibition) should be expected, they are number 1 in the country.
UK nearly had 48k show up to watch a shit tier football team play 1-9 Murray State so it isn't just basketball.
Part of that speech he gave was the realization that UK Fandom is just different (for better and for worse) than anywhere in the country.
For your programs sake, I hope he doesn't take you for granted like he did us.

It really is amazing how detached from reality he was. I have family that were very close to him personally while he was here, and one of them flat out admitted that he was completely surprised and hurt when he discovered how against him the general fanbase was by the end. Like…had no clue. Dude lives in a delusional bubble.

He’s spent the last 5-6 years proving them right and I think deep down Arkansas fans know they paid 40k for a used Escalade with 135k miles and a jumpy transmission.

Enjoyed the jawing with arkansas fans at the SEC tournament about a decade ago. A personal policy where I just dont engage with UT fans but Arky Ive always enjoyed the smack.
