I believe fans can have some influence on recruits. If you are a top recruit why would you want to play in a half empty arena. Ego fuels these top recruits and if they do not get on here just to get a feel about what is Being said about them I bet a friend or family member is.

I don't see this post as "fishy" at all. If I were a personal friend of Zion Williamson but heretofore unfamiliar with UK fans, etc., and if I knew that Zion is going to commit to UK, and if I knew that I would want to continue to follow my friend Zion's career playing for UK, then I might (again, if I didn't know the propensity of this board to browbeat first-time posters) try to develop some credibility with the Rupp Rafters group by making a first post such as this. Of course, what this OP obviously didn't know is that this board is not at all receptive to newcomers, and is not at all inclined to accept as true any post by anyone who doesn't have a posting history here.

Weird tidbit, I've seen eight straight flushes last two days. Yesterday one was mine, I folded hole cards that would've hit a SF on the turn (drunk on Wofford so I'm counting it). Saw another playing HORSE late night. Played two sessions today, saw 2 each. Lost the quads to one of the two in the early session. That's quite a high rate to rain straight flushes. I'm drink on Wofford so thought y'all should know

Playing HORSE the odds are a little.better than just hold em. I have went an entire year online without seeing one. That's crazy.

OP stated that he was Zion's teammate and that he had inside info that Zion was coming to UK. He was very impressive with his trolling. Gave his "name", stated that Zion came back from injury last night from bruised knee and played well (which was true). The real teammate posted on his twitter saying that there was someone impersonating him on the internet saying Zion was coming to UK.

The OP went to great lengths and it was an impressive troll. He hasn't been back since he was exposed.

The initial post I was assuming the "teammate" was a 17 year old African American; seeing that he was a 15 year old white kid it made the verbiage more believable ("laters" as well as the immaturity of wanting to break news.

Still assumed it was a troll but some of what seemed to be major red flags at first suddenly weren't that far fetched.
