I know I’m supposed to b able to watch ESPN+ tru my Spectrum account . However , ESPN in order to cheat people particularly older people have made it impossible to access it without subscribing a second time to ESPN with auto pay for a second monthly charge .

THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT LOYAL FANS .

i have now spent an hour and fifteen minutes trying to figure this out .

UL game is easy to access . Guess I’ll watch Ohio state /ND and UL games instead And listen to UK.

yes, I can afford it but frankly resent being cheated by this scam And won’t play their game .

in the name of making a few extra bucks UK sure let us down IMHO .

Or, you could just be wrong.

If you have cable you already have access to SECN+. Create your ESPN account and provide your cable credentials.

How many threads do we need to explain the same thing over and over mods? The thread under this one literally explains all of this already.

He may not be wrong. I, along with some others, have DIRECTV and SEC Network but have been unable to get ESPN+ without paying the subscription fee. I know the process but it just wouldn't work for us, and I'm not going to even try SEC+ because of the poor streaming they apparently have. If it wasn't the first game I would go with the radio. And yes it is frustrating for some of us.

It's not a scam just because you can't figure it out.

Most confusion seems to be that ESPN+ is a stand alone service you can subscribe to, even if you have normal ESPN. Having ESPN through your cable or satellite provider let's you stream all the games from their app or website, but it's technically different. And in my experience games don't always show up much a head of time, just when they actually start. So you might not see it listed today.

SEC+ through your regular provider. So if you have a stick/Roku/Cable, you should be able to watch SEC+ by using the ESPN app and logging in through giving your service provider. (That is according to UK Football Facebook page)

It is not ESPN+, it is SEC Network alternate, which you get if you have a subscription that has SEC Network.

Boomer thread again.

It's not difficult to figure this out. I just did it. Don't have to pay anything.

Plus yall are mad, but back in your day if you literally lived outside of lexington TV markets you couldn't watch the game and even if you could it would be on delay.

Lastly, UK has nothing to do with it.

Seriously tho, I think what most of you are struggling with is that you need a regular espn account...like on their website, which has nothing to do with watching anything. Go to their website and set that up. It's free.

Then when you pull up the app on the TV, you have the login with the email and your TV provider to watch ESPN...then go to the espn+ login and where it says "activation code" go to espn.com/activate on your phone and put that code in along with your original espn login. Boom there it is.

Its the SEC and ESPN not UK. They have done this at least 2 years now and will continue. It’s all about $$$$$

Boomers gonna boomer.

You youngsters don’t know the half of it!!

IN MY DAY, we had to walk up hill (both ways) to re-orient the aerial/antenna, well after dark, on late Saturday nights, to catch a grainy, Rob Bromley and guest, having spent hours avoiding family and friends who had either watched the game or the news casts (I missed funerals—but Granddad knew how much I loved UK football . . . suggesting I be named after the Corbin Comet, Roger Bird . . . and not his name, but his nickname).

And that was just for the f@cking replay of the Spring Game, Jack!

The regular season was pure, unmitigated Hell!! WWII vets, even older than I, compared the whole viewing experience to the travails of the Battle of the Buldge, although admitting the viewing experience involved more beer, fewer Germans and better weather.

Then I found out season tickets were pretty cheap, a-way-back-then. Seriously, I cut back
a pack or two of Camel a week, and could then afford the seats, Stadium Dog, drink and two gallons of gas to seat on those old, cold, hard aluminum bleachers, but with my (then) comparatively young, hard, ass.

And we liked it!!

WTF was this thread about, again?

It’s bullshit. Not a single fan in the whole world is asking to stream these games rather than watch them on TV. This is just an attempt to force a shitty product on a captive audience. If you don’t agree you’re a Gen-Z asshat.

Have a nice weekend.
Well then start up your own TV network so you can broadcast every college football game in America

Not SEC Alternate. Need to subscribe to ESPN+ which has SEC+. I have had it for a year and know what I’m talking about.

Every SEC team has to do it once this glad Kentucky got there’s out of the way week one it’s not hard to figure out

I feel your pain, we had a game on ESPN+ last year. As an older guy I didn't know wth that was. Called my son and he came over and had it ready to go in about 3 minutes. Not trying to be a troll, but got anyone better at tech to come over to help you get it going?

Trust me Catfanlou, you are not wrong. People I know personally are older folks and they have NO IDEA how to get the game on the ESPN+ app or whatever. Pretty much they are saying forget it. There are much easier ways to make this game able to be viewed by the majority of folks who don't want to mess with tech. Bottom line is it is making some people big money and making us fork out more to get yet ANOTHER service. Simple as that.

Don’t give up yet. As it gets closer to game time, start to look at all the games on the ESPN app until you find the one you want. You will probably have scroll down to bottom of the page to find SEC+ to watch it for free. Think of it as a huge Seek-n-find puzzle where the prize is the UK football game.

Espn+ is for people that do not have cable.
It is for people that have cut the cord. This is probably not you.

The game is also on SECN+.
If you have TV and you watch SECNetwork games, then you get this for free.
When gametime comes, not now, gametime, get on the computer.
Go to espn.com/watch or if you have the espn app.
Find the the box for that game. Now here's the thing.
There s going to be a couple choices for Kentucky vs Miami.
Be sure to pick the box that has SECN+ under it.

If you pick the box that has ESPN+ it is going to say you have to subscribe. You have picked the wrong box.
When you pick the right box, it is going to ask for a username and password.
Your cable company gave you this. It's not the wifi password.
It's how you get access to your cable account. To pay bills online.
Type that in.

So again, you can't go now. This only works when the game starts.

To reiterate for like the 10th time in this thread, you don't have to fork out any more money or get another service.

YOU DON'T NEED ESPN+, if you already pay for the SEC network. How many times does it need to be said???

You just need the ESPN app on your TV, Roku, whatever. Or login to ESPN on your computer.
