He probably could have been a bit less condoning, but he wasn't celebrating it either. It was more of an account on what goes on. Jalen wouldn't be where he is today if he was going around telling recruits to mop up. He basically gave a first hand account of what many of us already suspected, and probably a bit MORE.
besides, it's not like any one watches Grantland podcasts who isn't white and 25+.

The pay for play has been going on a UL for decades. Jim Kelly actually played football for UL for a year, and here he is on a recruiting visit, way before Minardi existed:
Take a good look at this photo. Her time at UL, the Miss COED campaign and beauty pageant ribbons will be her peak in life. She is well aware of this fact and now trying to stretch every inch her T&A will garner her. Just needs a little help from the limelight b/c she knows her UL 'degree' won't help her.

The case will not be taken up...but lets just imagine the fun that could be had by Karina's attorney...
1. Depose Doc Ramsey....asking him what he believes the true value of a UofL degree is vs. the same degree from UK or another ACC school.
2. If he believes that this scandal is in fact harming the reputation of the University...and if so...how does he measure that.
3. Ask him if the value of a UofL degree was harmed when the University retained Pitino post Karen Sypher.
4. Same question for when the athletics dept hired Bob Petrino.
Just a couple questions off the top of my head.
Student at Louisville sues Katina Powell for profit from her book. Stating her criminal activity tarnished her degree and will limit her earning opportunities. Don't think this will go anywhere but hope it does. This could open up the door to all these players having to answer to a subpoena to court to testify under oath. I don't think the University wants Russ Smith, Harrell, and the recruits named by Powell having to testify under oath. That is definitely something Louisville does not want. What about all the players involved in this? Should they be sued for the same thing. Should the University be sued for allowing one of their staff to orchestrate this criminal enterprise.

The Truth is UL and Pitino have had to resort to cheating and coverups to keep Jurich and Pitino's Egos inflated and try to keep up with UK,something the Little Brothel will never be able to do.If they would quit trying to compare to the All Time Winningest Program and soon to be the most NCAA Men's Basketball Championships ,they wouldn't have such an inferiority complex,they need to compare themselves to Western Ky U,more in their league.
I would hope not many were surprised to hear this from Jalen. It has always been obvious that getting laid while on a visit would be a big part of a recruiting visit and the reason so many of these kids go on so many visits when they know already where they want to go to school at. The only bad part and huge difference in this is the fact that people at UL were involved with setting this part of the visit up. If it were a current member of the team getting these recruits laid I don't think it would even be a problem. When staff is involved putting this together, its a problem and most likely a violation. To be honest, you would have to be ignorant to get caught at this type of set up. When it comes to UL, I actually expect them to screw up this up.
We could only hope this would go to court.
I can say with any doubt that Ramsey, Jurich and Pitino want NO part of a courtroom.
Subpoena's would lead to perjury charges which could lead to jail time... the gift that never stops giving...
I have to admit that reading the UL boards during this has been quite entertaining. I keep seeing that Powell, by law, can't profit from a criminal enterprise. Isn't that what UL is doing? They are profiting via the UL basketball program which based on this situation could at least partially be attributed to a criminal enterprise. That doesn't even begin to get into the Yum Center contract which some have questioned the legality of. I am not a lawyer but wouldn't that be a good response to them when they say Powell can't profit from her criminal activities.

Yeah I guess you have to grow up here to understand. The "Carolina way" and being a Louisville Man logos seem quite laughable right now. Sorry but if you can't understand the benefits to this let the rest of us enjoy it.
