The Ukraine war. (Yes, we'll mind our manners)

That you think a riot by unarmed hooligans is a more grave threat to democracy than the entirety of 2020 (as if you don’t know what that means) AND the most brazen treachery I can ever recall in the Russia collusion hoax, says it all. It’s no wonder you think Ukraine is some sort of life and death moment for us.

He had no idea Hunter Biden’s laptop was forfeited at a pawn shop and filled with incriminating evidence regarding drugs, prostitution, pedophilia, corrupt foreign dealings, etc. He has no idea Hunter’s business partner corroborated the evidence and confirmed Joe Biden was involved. Can’t really take anything else he says seriously if he’s that out of touch.

What has this war cost China? Because we all surely agree that Russia is our “former #1 rival,” but has not been #1 for a few years. Our #1 rival, with reasonable ambitions beyond that of Russia, appears to be expending very little capital in the Ukraine/Russia war.
They’ve got very little capital to put into Ukraine. Dictator and oligarch corruption have bled their military to an emaciated ghost of its post WWII glory. They just keep throwing undesirables into the trenches and fields on the front line and sometimes don’t even bother removing the dead who get chewed up in the meat grinder.

I think the Biden ties to Ukraine should be enough to make any reasonable person question what we’re doing there. At the very, very least, question why there’s no oversight of the funds that we’re sending.

Hopefully, they are learning a lesson.

Most of their major equipment, their air craft carrier, their jet engines, etc. are from Russian platforms.

And Russian arms have faired poorly.

And the more important lesson might be just how severe the economic consequences of an unpopular war can be: China is not self-sufficient for food and energy, as is Russia.

You can be so dramatic. Show me where I said it was a “grave threat to democracy.” You like to tickle yourself too much. It’s going to become a habit.

the entirety of 2020 (as if you don’t know what that means)
Are you referring to COVID 19? The election? Give me a clue to what you’re thinking.

most brazen treachery I can ever recall in the Russia collusion hoax

The charge against President Trump was found to be baseless through legal channels. It does not compare to Jan. 6, which was an insurrection aimed at stopping a government process that has occurred after each election as long as this country has existed.

It’s no wonder you think Ukraine is some sort of life and death moment for us.

There you go tickling yourself again.

It’s not a “life and death moment” for is but it sure as hell is for Ukrainian and Russian soldiers and Ukrainian civilians.

Sorry, I don’t subscribe to conspiracy theories from the alt-right and I don’t listen to Tucker Carlson. And you still haven’t said whether or not it has ever been found.

The odd ties on both sides have long made me think this division in the US was “baked into” our political system. Paul Manafort earned millions from the Russian-leaning former President, deposed by a pro-Western coup. The Republican convention Manafort managed in 2016 published a “plank” that removed providing armaments to Ukraine, a prior Republican talking point against Obama. Rudy Giuliani openly bragged about his lengthy client list in Ukraine.

Had Kiev collapsed without a fight, I wonder whether the Russians might have found a treasure trove of info taking down major figures on all sides of the US political spectrum.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Department of State, and the Department of Defense are among the agencies involved in overseeing and implementing aid programs in Ukraine. In addition, Congress provides oversight through various committees, such as the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which hold hearings and review reports on U.S. assistance to Ukraine. The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) also conducts audits and evaluations of U.S. aid programs to ensure they are effective and efficient.

JJ and BC can’t accept the idea that there is corruption in both parties and that the beauty of a two-party system is that each party is always digging away for dirt on the other. Unlike in Russia, China and Iran where one party controls everything and corruption is accepted as being a normal part of governing.

It’s March 13th and I still do not give a single shit about Ukraine nor do I support their little authoritarian scum bag reaping money from the elites money laundering this operation.

Oh, lefties, I wish you all had the ability to not be so GD brainwashed. Literally every issue, you’re so woefully wrong and just download the talking point fed to you.

Why use the term “conspiracy theory” when discussing Hunter Biden’s laptop?
Because it is not clear what the exact contents of Hunter Biden's laptop are, as different sources have reported different claims. The laptop was reportedly seized by the FBI in 2019 during an investigation into money laundering allegations.

In October 2020, the New York Post published a series of articles based on the contents of the laptop, including emails and photos allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden. The articles made controversial claims about Hunter Biden's business dealings in Ukraine and China, as well as his personal life.

However, the authenticity of the laptop and its contents has been disputed, and there were concerns about potential disinformation and hacking efforts aimed at influencing the 2020 US presidential election. The laptop has not been made available for independent verification, and some experts have raised questions about the technical aspects of the New York Post's reporting.

Yet here you are posting about it.

Disingenuous -

— (of a person or their behavior) slightly dishonest, or not speaking the complete truth: It was disingenuous of him to claim he had no interest…

Where did you copy that from?

It’s indisputable that it was Hunter Biden’s laptop and that the information is authentic. His lawyers have essentially admitted it.

Edit: lol wait didn’t you say you weren’t going to use chatgpt anymore?

I won’t use ChatGPT in any more of my posts in this thread. I agree with LOL_Man that it’s a rabbit hole that might distract from the discussion of the war.

However, I encourage everyone to get familiar with this AI and the others that are coming out in the near future. In just four months ChatGPT has changed the world of communication. The others about to enter the scene will only contribute to the upheaval in how we deal with each other. AI is our future.

Just based on a few posts I read by the usual nuts:

1. No one here took the ongoing summer riots lightly and no one here tried to downplay what happened.
2. Several here have chosen to downplay or lie about the insurrection simply because it makes their side (maga) look like dipshits who became caught up in a lame conspiracy theory that's still believed by some to this day.

Stop being shills and sheep just because some dipshit nerd with bad hair who wears a bowtie on Fox News is trying to manipulate you. It's always the people who pretend to have all the answers on this board who seem to believe the most conspiracy theories. I can see it now, some of you will be pulling your grandkids out of school when you find out they're learning about the insurrection and stolen election lie during history class one day. Alright...carry on, nuts and suck it, Putin.

It’s from Bing. Do you know how fast you can find info now? It’s breathtaking.

Authentic information? Says who. The FBI hasn’t released it. Did the computer repair shop owner copy the hard drive (as he should have done if he thought there was gold on the computer - I would have)?

His lawyers have essentially admitted it? What does that even mean?

It was chatgpt, not Bing.

Yes, he made a copy and there was no tampering.

His lawyers have threatened to sue for releasing his personal information.

Again, find alternative news sources because you’re completely ignorant.

Well said. I could not care less if the entire left coast fell away from the continent and slid into the depths of the Pacific. Those people have lost it on the most part.

The other extreme is well represented in this thread. They will buy into conspiracy theories without hesitation if the talking head commands it.

Neither extreme in this country is represented by well-adjusted people it seems. I’m sure that’s why people like AOC and Marjorie Taylor Greene, and others on both sides, are political lightning rods. More proof that we need term limits in Congress.

If the contents of the laptop hard drive are so earth shattering, do you really think that the alt-right would let a couple of lawyers keep them from exposing Hunter and Joe? Can’t the incriminating info be released without releasing Hunter’s personal info?

See why I think it’s a conspiracy theory without meat to back it up?

In summation...

COVID was fake. Masks don't work. Jan 6th was fake. Russia wants peace in Ukraine. Putin is good. A 4 time multi-bankrupted, multi-divorced NY Real Estate Swindler that has cheated and destroyed everyone around him his whole life in between sexually assaulting women and having an affair with a porn star while his wife was in the hospital giving birth to his son was chosen by God to lead the Republican Party to a landslide defeat in 2020 where a bunch of Republican States got together to cheat for the Democratic Party to steal the election from the aforementioned "Chosen One" by a party that has won the popular vote 1 time in the last 40 years?

I think you guys are onto something.

Some of these hopes are culturally based. China and Russia don’t have western perspectives. And, they have objectives that indirectly and directly evidently threaten us and our western allies. It is unlikely they learn the lessons you think they should learn. They talk about the sovereignty of Ukraine, but we know they do not admit the sovereignty of Taiwan. In fact, our own response to the issue is a contradiction.

Have they learned? I would say yes. Have they learned in a direction you would hope they have learned? Doubtful. Are they worse off? Doubtful. Are we? Probably.

Thank goodness the insurrection was thwarted. Right? The bravery of that day to save our nation! The greatest generation?

Jan 6 was a very disappointing day. One of many over that year when it comes to rioting and pathetic sheeple behavior. But, anyone who thought they were witnessing an insurrection might want to seek therapy.

The point is, it has been released. But you don’t know anything about it. Because it’s not just lawyers working to keep it out of the news. It’s the same media outlets that are feeding you the version of events in Ukraine that don’t allow for any independent critical thought.

You mocked the story as a conspiracy, because you are completely ignorant. Rather than take a step back, exercise critical independent thought and reassess your position when presented with facts, you relied on AI generated posts to help you dig your heels in.

It’s no surprise that the people fully supporting the Ukraine narrative lack the ability to exercise critical thought or think for themselves.

Well, tickling myself is a new one. Have to remember that.

2020 was full of rioting, right through the election. Why do you pretend not to know that?

To me, every small business that was destroyed, every neighborhood looted, was a far worse transgression than J6.

Anyone who says "insurrection" and acts aghast over the Capitol stuff is such a dishonest sack of sh.t considering they didn't bat an eye at the riots and pure insanity following Trump's election or what their base did to Kavanaugh or how they stormed the building, or how BLM tore this country apart for six months (and literally created their own little village-CHAZ lol), camping outside SCOTUS Justices houses and giving their addresses for intimidation and assassination attacks (which one was thwarted).

We went through four years of these jerk offs trying to overturn an election. We watch them usher in an invasion of our southern border to weaken this nation. We watched them intentionally tank our country and become little tyrants to gain power in 2020.

These are evil POS. Their gaslighting does not work on anyone but their idiotic base. And I've never met a Democrat voter who wasn't painfully a low info voter. These people know NOTHING. They literally parrot what their DNC TV tells them. Whatever they say are now the views of their base and they can't even argue them well. It's because they're only used to shallow talking points and repeating phrases over and over. If their TV doesn't talk about it, they don't know about it. If their TV tells them not to read something or check into something, they won't.

I needed to know which world-shaking event you ranked first on your list. 2020 was a year to remember.

Yes, the George Floyd riots were horrendous and basically achieved nothing but destruction of whole neighborhoods, but worse that Jan. 6, 2021? Nope, can’t agree with that.

You are one to talk! You are an insulting machine with a very narrow mind. You need to walk the walk before you talk the talk.

The word “facts” doesn’t mean what you seem to think it means. Your personal definition doesn’t matter or carry any weight.

And lay off AI. It’s a good thing that helps all of us understand the world better. Bing is a search engine that summarizes its findings for you and still gives you the option to explore any of the links it lists.

You don’t know what critical thought is. You take alt-right prattle as gospel and think accordingly. If someone thinks differently to you, they’re against you. Quit acting like you’re some judge who listens to both sides. You’re as blind to critical thinking as the rest of your cohorts.

You should probably stick to burying your head in the sand and having computers write your posts.
