The same people that were saying Russia would be crazy to invade Ukraine, therefore wouldn't, are now saying Russia would be crazy to use nukes to defend themselves, therefore wouldn't.

Entropy already answered this a couple of pages back - what is the purpose of this question and why do you keep asking it over and over? The most likely scenario is the Oligarchs and/or FSB take him out before he gets a (hypothetical) chance to use nukes. Do you think the Oligarchs are happy right now with how much of their assets have been frozen and lost? In a poor corrupt society like Russia, money is a powerful force. Can’t predict the future, but Putin is on borrowed time.
Should we stop giving weapons to Taiwan because China might nuke us? Policy shouldn’t be driven by hypotheticals.

It's absolutely true there are still a few good Republicans left but they are a vanishing breed marked for extinction and will either not be present or be completely unwelcomed at the Trumplican Convention where the Ukraine bashing and Putin lovefest will be nauseating.
The “most likely” scenario is “the oligarchs” all band together and conspire to murder the leader of Russia, resulting in a power vacuum that would be filled by someone who would effectively surrender to the United States in such a way that all sanctions would be lifted on oligarch assets, because they aren’t making enough money selling their gas, steel, etc. to China and the other nations that don’t fully support the US?
All the while you warhawks are floating going to international court and forcing the confiscation of those same oligarch assets to fund the rebuild of Ukraine.
Why do the warhawks on this thread constantly use the word appeasement? Did Russia appease us by having minimal involvement against our illegal acts of aggression against Iraq, Serbia, and Libya? Well aren’t you a prickly pear. Russia is losing. They’ve sacrificed tens of thousands of lives since May in the Battle of Bakhmut, nearly 10 months. The only importance that destroyed city holds is to Putin.
He would not allow forces to be redeployed to Kherson and the Russians got routed on the west bank side of the Dnipro River as they retreated towards Crimea. If they take Bakhmut, it’s a hollow victory considering the astounding losses they’ve suffered in lives and equipment there.
Keep throwing those daisies at the military equipment going to Ukraine, though.
