The Ukraine war. (Yes, we'll mind our manners)

Uh huh.

Picks up musical instrument and cant play. Picks up nicer musical instrument and now can perform really well.

Also i was told in this very thread the equipment we were giving them was old and outdated so might as well give it to them. Now its magically the difference in the campaign despite no way they had time for anything more than minimal training.

Truly impressive the amount of mental gymnastics it takes to get these conclusions.
Yeah, old western equipment still runs circles around 1970s and 1980s soviet tech.

Even if Russia left it wide open and they had ironclad intelligence to know it, it still would be seemingly too big a risk to commit that many men to what could have been (and still may, frankly) a suicide mission.

I think pure speculation suggests there has to be more to it. That more may simply be that they had to get in front of the US presidential election to try to guarantee more money regardless of winner, but this looks too intricately planned and the Ukrainians appear to be uncharacteristically quiet about what they are doing.
They've been talking about taking the war to Russia for years. I think the play is to get Russian's to stop supporting this war. And to put pressure on Putin to end it. Now they're caputring Moscow elite's sons, who were promised no combat. Just cushy border patrol jobs.

Then how was that crap soviet equipment going to take over the world?

The hypocrisy and gymnastics never end lol
Are you 12 years old? Nobody said Russia would WIN. Or TAKE OVER THE WORLD. They would go for the USSR countires. And that would spark article 5. And we'd have to fight them off. I get it though, it's easier to project ''you just want mericans to die''. When it's actually you who wants it.

For OPSEC purposes, they should remain quiet. A lot of folks think we’re just handing Ukraine money when the vast majority, roughly 85%, is going to a domestic jobs program in several states. The EDA is separate from this.

Not discounting your theory entirely, but believe it’s a feint to draw Russian forces in from Ukraine (particularly the south) and 2). use the newly controlled territory as a future bargaining chip for a land swap although peace negotiations look temporarily impossible at this juncture.

It isnt even my argument. I just keep repeating the arguments i see on here.

Also china is way beyond anything Russia could dream of in terms of global dominion. Theyre way more of a threat. Yet noone dare checks them.

Well, there are dozens of YouTube videos showing our investment of billions in Australia, the Philippines, and many Pacific Islands, along with the successful deployment of “crated” cruise missiles, allowing the launch of dozens of independently targeted cruise missiles from two hundred miles distance from low-cost freighter planes. Last week, we successfully tested an inexpensive missile launched from a Stealth Bomber at 12 miles distance from its target, allowing a pin-point, torpedo-type hit just below water level. This tests, (all carried out in the Pacific) were described as a signal to China of the potential dangers of a cross-channel naval invasion or blockade of Taiwan

The Obama, Trump and Biden Administrations have all used large navel groups to sail through the contested waters of the South China Sea, often within visual sight of China’s artificially constructed islands.

Large and Bi-partisan Congressional delegations have visited Tai Pei in the last three years, as have a Democratic and a Republican Speaker, the highest level US governmental representatives to visit and pledge their support of Taiwan since 1998.

Last week, we led a coalition Naval exercise in the Pacific, involving more than 100 ships and 20 nations.

We and Australia have constructed a massive air facility in Australia, now used by US, Aussie and NATO aircraft and located just outside of the range of China’s most threatening strategic missiles.

Last year, Australia pledged to become only the sixth nation sailing nuclear powered submarines, pledging to buy six of them from the US. The Aussies have opened a new submarine base, and allow US nuclear subs to operate from this base until their own are built and manned in the next 5 years.

I don’t know what would constitute a “check” on China’s expansionist policies, beyond what we and other Allies have done, militarily.

Frankly, only Trump seems aggressively opposed to our thwarting China’s goal of capturing Taiwan.

All very nice theater. What happens when it comes time to actually oppose china? Nothing. China gets what they want.

We literally let them fly a spy balloon over our country and did nothing. Nevermind the all the telecoms stuff.

They are aligned with China. You should keep up before you start insulting people.
They are aligned because we have forced them into a box with only Iran and China as military allies. They asked about joining NATO and were rebuked. They are as afraid of China seizing territory in the east as they are of Ukr joining nato. They would be a natural ally against China but our leaders don't think strategically.

If Trump said he supports Ukraine. They'd revert to 1980s republicans. They're just auth-righters. Waiting for their strong, moral leader to give the OK.
I believe a few months back he said that he'd be good with/open to loan $ to Ukraine interest-free & that they may not need to pay it back. Also didn't get in way of Pub House supporting last major gift to them.

China had a spy in a senators circle, had a spy sleeping with Eric Swalwell, gave millions and a $100k diamond to the Biden family... For all the talk of how big of a threat China is it sure doesn't seem like anyone in our leadership sees them that way.

We need a destroyer to deliver supplies to the Philippines outpost of Scarborough Shoal.

If true, then quite the turn of events.

Then there's this...

Heh, and this...

Exciting days may lie ahead. Stay tuned.
The problem with this is that it's exactly what Putin said would trigger their nuclear red line. They litter ali said that any serious threat to Russia's sovereign integrity could be met with nuclear response.... but lets just gamble that he's bluffing I guess... LOL.

One congressperson sleeping with a spy and another employed a spy in an important position. Thats just what we know. Imagine what is out there unknown.

Its pretty crazy we're willing to risk nuclear war for the Ukraine who is literally an insanely corrupt country.

Also if Putin is truly getting his a$$ kicked by a bunch of nobody's then he cant be a threat of world domination.

In the event these nations truly somehow overthrow Russia and Putin doesn't nuke us, what are the odds china gets the spoils? 90%?

I'm assuming Lith isn't allowing Russia troops to move thru it, so to redeploy from K-grad they must move by air or by ship to St. Pete area. Big logistics issue.

Misleading headline.

"Finance Minister Christian Lindner said that future funding would no longer come from Germany's federal budget but from proceeds from frozen Russian assets, according to the German newspaper."
Germany and other G7 countries in June struck a preliminary deal to use the value of some $300 billion of Russia’s sovereign assets immobilized in Western financial institutions to secure a $50 billion loan to Ukraine. But governments have yet to agree on the details of the scheme, and technical talks might drag on for months.

Ukraine was trying to take the Kursk nuclear plant. They were stopped. Everything that you hear about this offensive that doesn't acknowledge that is just propaganda. Those dudes are just riding around doing as much damage as possible now. No military advantage is being gained.

100% BS.

Doubtful. What could they do with it? They certainly can't take it back to Ukraine. The troubling thing is your parroting of Putin.

Zelensky has a much simpler reason for going into Kursk. Ukraine hopes to create a buffer zone.

Your response is going to be interesting.

LOL. What could they do with that???? How about use it in a negotiation to get their nuclear power plant back that Russia currently holds? Do you guys just honestly assume all bad news for Ukr is Russian disinfo? How does Russia have so much Ukr territory under control if it's all fake? Why is Russia advancing on multiple fronts if it's all fake Russia propaganda? Why are we funding Ukr if it's all Russia propaganda?

That area is supposedly heavily wooded and sparsely populated. Much like Russia came across that same area and didn't meet opposition for 2 days... Ukraine did the same exact thing and had basically the same exact result. The area is just too densely forested and too sparsely populated for either side to put tons of people there just to prevent an incursion the first 20 to 30 miles. It's hard to believe you've been in this thread for this long and you don't understand the difference between the defensive alignments in the East and around the Kursk/Kharkiv areas.

I didn't say 99% of that babble. I question your take on the Russian nuclear plant...thats all.

This is getting so old. You know you only say this online. I'd bet money that if we talked about this over a beer you would be a much nicer person.
I wasn't mean. I made a simple statement. By design or not, you are parroting Putin.
