The Ukraine war. (Yes, we'll mind our manners)

More infor Vh won't believe but is readily reported in Europe... Russia has begun to blow up bridges on the Dnipro River. No idea what it means but I'm sure Vh will say Russia doesn't have the ability to blow up a bridge and if they did it would be an accident that caused their own tanks to fall in a river.

The thing that makes this interesting is that they haven't targeted bridges the last year in large attacks. Pundits think its either to cut off retreat of Ukr troops or to keep reinforcements and supplies from coming through certain areas... obviously... but which one is it.

I love how you don't believe any info posted. This is what Polish Generals are hearing from US and Ukr intel sources. It may be wrong but just take it for what it is without acting like every single thing you disagree with intentionally wrong. Jesus.
Huh? Of course I believe it. That's why I believe it shows Putin is interested in a lot more territory than the provinces he has "annexed". That size force isn't necessary to accomplish that little goal.

The bigger question is why doesn't it if he wants big chunks if not all of Ukraine. Explain that.

Net, you again misconstrue my response.

Sure they have. Did it when they left Kherson. Not new news.

What's hard to understand is why you're never able to quote sources for "is readily reported in Europe". Not doing so makes folks skeptical of your sources.

I found 1 single reference for a bridge south of Odessa, damage is not known at this point but it was an unmanned surface vehicle that carried the explosives. Knowing Ukraine at this point, the bridge will probably be operational in about 2 hours.

Good livestream of some former military guys with different levels of experience with armor, tanks, combat engineering and the like, talking about the tanks being shipped to Ukraine and what the pros and cons of them getting and when.

Why do none of the Warhawks here go to the political thread and advocate war? I really think they should share their feelings for war on that thread. Let's see what the reaction is.

I'd almost suggest that Warhawks go to the Ukraine itself, but it's not like a bunch of baby boomer neocons on crutches could really help, right, vh?

That describes me but my right cross still works pretty well. So tell me, what the hell does going over there have to do with anything other than your pathetic wet dreams?

Gramps, I'm not afraid of your "right cross". Go over and show it to Putin. That'll show him! 🤣

Do you have anything of substance to add to the discussion? You don’t even know what a jingo is, and no one cares about your little alt-right cabal on the other thread.

No-one cares about your warmongering in America. Every single person I know in real life is sick of hearing about this shit. If you're not, I suggest you get off of fat ass and pick up a rifle. The rest of us are sick of this crap.

Such an emotional little Karen. Leave this discussion to the mature adults in the room, the ones who actually pay attention to geopolitical events and know what’s going on.

If Afghanistan bankrupted Russia then you'd think Ukraine would at some point have a similar effect. Russia's economy is literally insignificant compared to the might of the United States and Europe. Our strategy is to bleed them and that has been very successful but we need a new strategy aimed at more definitive results. Without air superiority it is very hard to win on the ground absolutely. Air power changes everything.

We Ukraine supporters don't need to redundantly post as you Putin appeasers do. And why does this thread exist if Russia's War is posted about on the political thread? Net, DA statement.

Define neocon specifically. Too generic to respond to & thus would be a waste.

Not quite on crutches but taking injections in my degraded knee. But thanks for asking & expressing your genuine concern.

He's had a few too many.

Weren't you one of the "conservatives" that cried like a little girl over "Covid"? Terrified of a glorified flu, and fearless about nuclear war?

That's a Catch-22, old man.
Lol, no. At the very beginning I was concerned but thats about it.

Now this is what the US at war is vs. helping Ukraine:

"The U.S. killed 12 al-Shabaab terrorist fighters with an airstrike in Somalia at the request of the country's government, the U.S. announced Sunday."

The absolute truth about Ukraine is that Putin is betting everything on the Republican Party handing Ukraine to him. That is a fact. There is no other reason for him to have held out on a losing hand this long. He bet everything on the Republicans taking power 2022 and 2024 as they are his greatest allies.

Sorry but that is nonsense.

Why would Putin not expect Republicans to cut Ukraine funding? Please explain.

This line of thinking implies that only Republicans care about the debt, escalation, Ukrainian corruption, or oversight of what’s already been allocated.

If Republicans cared about the debt then why did they slash taxes on the rich and if they cared about Ukrainian corruption why did they make Paul Manifort Trump's campaign manager and if they cared about war why did they invade Afghanistan and Iraq?

-29 Democrat senators voted for the Iraq invasion, including Kerry, Biden, Schumer, and HRC.
-Taking the net worth of all billionaires wouldn’t cover one year of federal spending, roughly.
-Ukraine is as corrupt a cesspool as one can find outside of Chicago and no amount of “muh Trump” can hide it.

Anything else?
