Yeah I watched the interview. It was full of Putin's revisionist history. Dude is EX-KGB he's trying to sway american public opinion to end funding for Ukraine so he can take the country over. But america first.

I wish leadership in the West had acted as if they thought it immoral for Russia to invade Ukraine. Instead, we watched the Olympics. Only after it was obvious that Russia was not capable of quickly steamrolling Ukraine did the morality of it all rise to the level of anything affronting. Then, a second objective became patent. Weaken Russia on the causalities of Ukrainian children.

I think one of Machiavelli’s rules for war is ignore everything your enemy tells you and just rely on CIA Fed corporate media reports that perfectly coincide with the position that sends taxpayer dollars to one of the most corrupt countries on the planet.

Excellent interview in general, much closer to the reality of the matter than you can get from our media or our pro-war incentivized thinktanks who are doing damage control, but his analogy here comparing the United States to a negligent father who comes home and finding his kids fighting, eggs them on instead of stopping them, is particularly good.

I'm not diminishing the suicide numbers, but the GWT went on for 20 years and I think typical deployments were a year or so, plus not all GWT veterans were deployed to combat areas. Net, not sure the value of the comparison. I mean how many of those not deployed were the suicides? What's their suicide rate vs. non-military of the same age? Not lookin for you to answer but they would help me understand the numbers better.

Just stop with that. Using the debt as the reason to not fund Ukraine is near-meaningless. Ukraine funding to date is about 0.5% of that. And you could pick any other gov. spending of equal amount to say it's the cause of the debt, but you pick your burr of the day to harp on.
The issue is whether Ukraine needs to be supported at all - or not. I mean if we had zero debt, would you support aid to Ukraine? Me, I do in both cases.
