The Ukraine war. (Yes, we'll mind our manners)

- Mothers and wives fight tooth and nail with the armed forces, beg and plead not to have their men taken away. They try bribing, which sometimes works, but most of the time they are met with physical violence and death threats. - The territory celebrated as having been "won back" from Russia has been reduced to rubble and is uninhabitable. Regardless, there is no one left to live there and displaced families will likely never return.- They see the way the war has been reported, at home and abroad. It's a "joke" and "propaganda." They say: “Look around: is this winning?”. - Worse, some have been hoaxed into believing that once Ukrainians forces are exhausted, American soldiers will come in to replace them and “win the war”.There is no ambiguity in these people. The war was for nothing - a travesty. The outcome always was, and is, clear. The people are hopeless, utterly destroyed, and living in an unending nightmare.

There is no ambiguity in these people. The war was for nothing - a travesty. The outcome always was, and is, clear. The people are hopeless, utterly destroyed, and living in an unending nightmare. They are pleading for an end, any end - most likely the same "peace" that could have been achieved two years ago. In their minds, they have already lost, for their sons, fathers and husbands are gone, and their country has been destroyed. There is no "victory" that can change that. Make no mistake, they are angry with Putin. But they are also angry with Zelensky and the West. They have lost everything, worst of all, hope and faith, and cannot comprehend why Zelenky wishes to continue the current trajectory, the one of human devastation.I didn't witness the war; but what I saw was absolutely heart-breaking.Shame on the people, regardless of their intentions, who have supported this war. And shame on the media for continuing to lie about it.

One thing I want people to explain to me. If Russia goes from 80 billion per year military spending to 140 billion.... and we say that will break them.... Why does our military spending increases help our economy? If spending more on your military domestically helps your economy then why doesn't it help Russia? Are we a unicorn?
This is great! Bravo!

I don’t believe anything I see regarding casualty estimates. I think it’s actually much smaller on both sides than being reported.

Why?

The US is estimating like 130K deaths on the Ukrainian side and 150K deaths on the Russian side.

The US lost 400K men in total during WWII.

We saw videos and pictures of huge troop deployments and battles in WWII. That was with limited media access.

In this war where every soldier has a camera phone, we typically see a drone killing some poor sap or a single tank getting blown up.

We hear stories about mothers who have lost sons, but nothing on the scale of 300K mothers who have lost a son.

This is not some political agenda I have, I just don’t think the evidence matches what we are being told.

Two things. They arrested the person. So they are trying to stop it. Second, you don’t think US Government corruption isn’t way higher than that? LOL to that thought.
So send more money because we are just as corrupt? What world do you live in? If I'm getting robbed by a business I stop doing business with them.

Vivek is correct. No one is surprised. We expect that crap when our government gives a lot of aid externally or internally. Internally it buys votes and power. Externally it rarely serves our interests.

The Ukrainians committed treason during war time. But, again, does that surprise anyone?

And, yet, I doubt it had any impact, at all, on the war.

Since that's your standard, then shut the US Gov down. Let me know when you've down that.

Yeah, but Joe Bribeden, the barely living fossil, is running this business. And we can't fire him yet.

Him and Cal should just ride off into the sunset together, they have both milked enough from us to live very comfortably for the rest of their lives. They should put Zelensky on an ass and lead him with them.

I warned that wars have consequences. Little did you know that your own country selling you out would be one.

My wife works for a contractor at Ft. Sill that could not renew the contract during the Covid year or two and they have been in limbo working getting quarterly funding from the government until a new contract can be established/awarded. So, the government has been telling the contractor what positions/jobs they can lose, and they have been laying people off every month since November blaming it on recent budgeting due to money sent to the Ukraine. Generally, the contractor is awarded the contract due to a bid on how much they need to do the job and then the contractor decides how many workers they need and what positions to kill.

Right now, the government has told them to cut more jobs/positions, and my wife's job is one of the ones they said will probably be cut. If they do, that will be a hit of $75K a year for us so... I don't know if their excuse about the money being sent to the Ukraine being the reason is legit, but we have no other explanation to explain it except maybe Bidenomics.

How do you know what Putin planned to keep? He still says he wants regime change, so....
I think, frankly, the Ukrainian regime is a kleptocracy and if we were to provide any support to them after this war is over, it would need to be much different.

As for Putin, I think the lines on a map are pretty clear and that he will settle for the territory that connects Crimea to Russia.

Well, the UN and NATO have done a fine job trying to get Russia and Ukraine to the negotiation table, so we should all have an idea of what might get this war resolved. Or, we just just keep throwing billions into the pit.

Tucker sits back like a lap dog and lets Putin get away with blaming Poland for WWII. And doesn’t challenge him on it?? Not a good look.

Nobody really believes that. Ironic since Putin states he is “de-nazifying” Ukraine and then makes this bullshit up excusing the world’s biggest Nazi.

Putin says he would negotiate a conclusion to the war. Claims he wanted that early, but Johnson shot it down. Putin is a master manipulator, but why would we not test him to see if this thing can be settled? Where the eff is the leadership?

If you thought he was defending Hitler then you totally missed the point he was making. Russia lost over 10 million fighting the Germans. Putin lost family in that war and even lost an older brother during the German siege.

Tucker did a good job. It wasn't his job to start a fight. He asked tough questions and pushed him on some issues.

It wasn't just him saying it. The meeting was in Turkey and both Turkish and Ukraine diplomats admitted they had reached an agreement. Boris Johnson told Zelensky the west would pull all aid if they didn't keep fighting. This isn't manipulation. It's just well known facts.

You have to understand. Democrats are worse than tyranny, war, and genocide. Putin is a good guy who will finally stop the woke SJWs with his manly Russian soldiers. He will protect my children from evil LGBTQIA2+ people who want to turn them into gay femboys and also Hunter Biden and also Hillary Clinton and the Muslim terrorists and the immigrants, don’t get me started on them…Putin might have said he wants to nuke America, but that was just a harmless little joke (hope he nukes California and New York though, as a true red blooded American patriot I naturally wish death upon millions of my fellow citizens because they don’t like the same presidential candidate that I like).

Where did he say he wanted to nuke America? Biden said Putin could not remain president of Russia... Just because Putin is a bad guy doesn't make him our mortal enemy and it sure as hell doesn't make Ukraine our friends.

Is this a real take? Russia openly runs cyber and physiological warfare operations with social media disinformation. Investigations have revealed several members of the GOP and Democratic party that have been paid for by Putin. They’ve openly nuclear saber rattled to the US. But he’s not our enemy? Let’s be honest. The reason you don’t like Ukraine is because the other political party supports them. That’s all this is. Democrats are worse than Russia! Good god.

Wow. Way to read wayyy too much into my post. I don't think Ukraine is a single party issue. Mccain and Graham were trying to get a war started in 2016. Obama wanted to stay out but screwed up putting Joe in charge of Ukraine relations. Once Hunter started getting paid our foreign policy was set.... It's actually old school neocons who running this shit show.

But you specifically said that Putin threatened to nuke America. I asked where he said that. We fund and promote opposition to Putin... does that make interfering in foreign elections wrong or is it a matter of who interferes where?

There is a difference between diplomacy and bullying nations into your will. Like Pakistan. We wanted them to support Ukraine. Imran Khan wanted to stay neutral and deal with both as only trade partners. We told him that wasn't acceptable and he had to denounce Russia and support Ukraine... He refused and wouldn't you know it... his opposition found that he had committed a bunch of crimes and he got thrown out of office and Pakistan got several billion in aid from the US... So far so good right?

Pakistan just had elections and the people that threw Khan out, got decimated in the elections. Khan is now the most powerful politician in Pakistan History.... and I wonder if he is still neutral with us? I heard that Pakistan has made it known that they would give nukes to arab nations if Israel uses nukes... That seems like an escalation.

You can ignore reality but not the consequences of reality. We have people in our state dept that try to bully people into doing what they want. My whole life I thought America stood up to bullies, but it turns out our State Dept is the biggest bully on the planet. Do what we want, and we will pay you and if you don't, we kill you or remove you from power... Freedom I guess.

Ukraine recently killed an American journalist in their prison. Everyone was worried about Tucker mentioning the journalist Putin had.... Well Tucker did ask and tried to get him back. He also challenged him that he wasn't a spy. It's obvious Russia is keeping him as a negotiation tool. But why did nobody ask Zelensky about the journalist he jailed and killed? Why is Zelensky treated with kid gloves? Why does Ukraine get more money than the entire US spent on infrastructure last year? Why is wanting to take care of America and Americans first such a bad thing? Has Ukraine ever paid a dollar for anything we needed?

And I had never heard of physiological warfare before. I'm going to definitely have to look that up.

I was telling people at the beginning of this ridiculous thread two years ago they were manufacturing an absurd fear based narrative, that if American people actually understood why this war was actually being fought, they would roundly object to it, preventing all the MIC profiteering and needless death.

They're left in the MSM still genuflecting this ridiculous narrative about WW2, that he's like Hitler and hell bent on taking over Europe or nuking us if we don't appease.

I'm surprised so many watched that interview, probably the first time hearing the Russian perspective for most people. Maybe that will help. That doesn't mean we should support said perspective, or condone his actions, but it does mean we should seek peace in this civil war, which is what it ultimately actually is, and that we should've sought peace over profit and geopolitical gain for everyone involved. It's all a horribly unnecessary tragedy that shoudl've been prevented, not just perpetually funded until all the "gain" has been exhausted.

What are Putins demands for peace?

Just plain dumb. None of us think he's taking over Europe. Though he would certainly take over some other defenseless small countries. Europe is in NATO. Putin isn't screwing with NATO. We've tried to tell your arrogant ass this for 2 years but you actually think you have a finger on the pulse. You're still a

There are many controlled by Chinese and Ukrainian interests as well. So what’s the scariest thing? Other countries leaders? Or our own who are clearly not working in the best interests of America? Yet you continue to support them sending 100’s of billions of dollars to these people. While the innocent citizens of these countries who probably are not much different from our citizens are trapped in a meat grinder.
