The Ukraine war. (Yes, we'll mind our manners)

Here’s reality for you all. Same reality I told you about when this started. We are headed for collapse on a scale that nobody can even predict becasue it will be so unprecedented.

But you STILL want to argue that it takes a backseat to a Slavic rock fight?

You don’t see a difference between a journalist allowing a world leader to explain why he’s invaded a country and is fighting a war that is costing the US hundreds of billions of dollars and the U.S. news media asking Joe Biden about ice cream?

The flat out refusal by the warhawks to even try and understand the enemy’s perspective is perplexing.

How do you envision this war ever ending if you refuse to even hear what the other side’s position is? Unless you think we’re going to wipe Russia off the map and their position doesn’t matter (like we’re back to bombing third world Muslims).

It just seems like the neocon warhawks have grown so accustomed to us just bombing Muslims who can’t fight back at scale, their brains cannot comprehend a scenario where the enemy has military capabilities.
Of course there is a difference, the similarities are the softball interviews, laughing, and sucking up. Saw one pointed question about a journalist locked up and that was it. Tucker was seen as a useful idiot in Putin’s eyes, and used him to broadcast the propaganda in schools. Mission accomplished.

What did you learn from this incredibly informative interview?

Edit: Changed my mind. Putin said Russia has ancestral claims to the land since 862, so let him take whatever he wants.

One thing this does illustrate is how Putin and his regime’s mind works: they are creatures of grievance.

They do not look toward the future, they do not live in the present, they only rage eternally about the past. Their entire existence, their entire world view, is based around clinging to wrongdoings from 50, 100, 1000 years ago...because it justifies what they're doing now.

Which btw. The US and Ukraine have repeatedly said they will not cede any territory to Russia. Or listen to any Russian proposals regarding it. They’ve been pretty clear on that.

Putin was proposing to freeze the conflict at the current lines and was unwilling to cede any of the Ukrainian territory controlled by Russia,

How about we let Russia send $60+ billion to Ukraine that can be funneled to offshore account for Zelenski and US politicians, US taxpayers keep their money, and Russia can have the worthless rubble filled land?

Moscow intends to double the number of troops stationed along Russia's borders with NATO's Baltic states and Finland, Estonia's foreign intelligence service has said.

Vladimir Putin's government is preparing for a war with NATO in the next decade, Kaupo Rosin, director-general of the Estonian service, has warned.

Mr Rosin said Russia is currently not "willing to conduct any military actions towards NATO" - but Moscow believes conflict is possible within the next 10 years, his service says.

He is the latest Western official to warn of Russia's continued appetite for expansion beyond the invasion of Ukraine.

Are you posting from the front lines in Ukraine to apparently ensure I don’t have to?
The estonian intelligence head, Denmark, and Sweden have all said Russia is looking to take the baltics next. But i’m sure you think that’s not true. America first.

They shoudl've negotiated at the beginning and they would've been able to keep all their land except Crimea, but their lust for profit was too great. Make no mistake, Ukranian "leadership" are enriching themselves. that's their culture, that's their DNA; like Russia.

There's no way they get back what they lost, and i don't care what idiot politician or thinktank says otherwise.

We should probably put American boots on the ground in Ukraine to save the Baltics then.

Or is this next tranche of tens of billions from the US taxpayers going to finally do the trick?

lol you think we’re sending them coffers of money?

Absent a miracle, like a coup in Russia, complete collapse of the society so we could then break it up. Which is and has always been the goal.

Lets assume not a single dollar is transferred to pay pensions or anything like that then.

Let’s also assume it’s all just excess reserves the US has laying around, and we are not depleting stock we’ll need.

Is this next tranche of US taxpayer aide going to finally be what it takes for Ukraine to defeat Russia and reclaim all of their territory?

We aren’t depleting stock we need LMAOO. We are sending them old shit that was already sat up to be mothballed. We’ve sent them reserve artillery shells. But none from our wartime stockpile. What source are you getting this from? Fox news?

That was one of the assumption, I said we aren’t sending them anything we need.

Is this next tranche of aide going to be what it takes for Ukraine to defeat Russia and reclaim all of its territory?

I don’t know? A big part of the reason they can’t is because the US dragged its feet on giving them F-16s. They have no air power. So it’s resorted to being WW1 with drones.

Which is what I told you you'd be saying two years ago.

Namely, that you would be making excuses for a Ukrainian loss by asserting we just didn't support them enough, and therefore need to keep supporting them, more and more.

No, the goal was never victory, but to prolong the war for profit and geopolitical gain. If we really cared about winning, we wouldn't care how Russia would've perceived our escalating support.

Guy with an anti soviet sig btw

You think you’re some incredibly woke individual. Who’s awake to all these evil CIA and american plots. But you’re just a blowhard.

Yeah, I already know what you think of me, but no, that's not how/what I think.

You reveal your ignorance in a myriad of ways: thinking that being anti-war and anti-russia are in any way incompatible is merely jsut one of them, like being "woke" and awakened to sinister CIA plots are not the same thing is another. But to be clear, I don't think there are any sinister plots, just geopolitical strategy I think won't work, will do more harm than good.

Back to ignore.

How are you going to sit here and say you’re anti-war. And then oppose funding for Ukraine? You got the baltics saying Russia is gearing up to take them on. You thought me saying Woke was me meaning you’re woke like the popular SJW term. But i’m ignorant? Blowhard.

How are you going to sit here and say you’re anti-war, then oppose us eliminating Saddam Hussein and his weapons of mass destruction?

And….?

You think he’s going to give that back? We’ve been over this. He’s going to keep whatever is necessary to have a link to Crimea.

We can either accept it, spend ourselves into bankruptcy trying to help Ukraine retake it, or put our own troops there to do it and trigger the end of the world.

These have been the known outcomes since the summer that this started.

Sounds like Germany, France, and Britain have a lot of work to get ready for. Perhaps their money would be better suited for weapons than for welfare for Muslims and Africans.

Lol. Ukraine and the US have been adamant that they wont negoitate with Putin. If one of his prerequisites is to keep stolen land for literally years. So I fail to see how that's some gotcha.

LOOK THE US AND UKRAINE DONT WANNA NEGOIATE WITH PEACE LOVIN RUSSIA. THEY JUST WANT TO KEEP THIS WAR DRUG OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which would be fine if Russian politicians hadn't been telling US politicians for the last 30 years that Ukraine was way different than Poland, Estonia, Lativia, Lithuania and Slovikia.... You can litter ali go back and look at State Dept memos warning US from militarizing Ukraine. They only had the single condition that they were miltaryily independent.

And if you say.... We need to nato Ukraine.... then send your kid and you pay for it. I don't GAF about Ukraine.

Imagine that... Your warmongering has caused Russia to spin up to the monster you feared. $80 billion military budget before this war started with that big of a border meant they had almost zero offensive capability.

Where the hell are you getting this? Jesus Christ. You think Russia (a country of 150 million people) is going to take on all of Europe and the US, Canada and Australia????? Is that what you are saying is the most likely scenario?

They literally did. Minsk agreement. Ukraine just had to keep the militias from killing Russian speakers in the East and none of this happens. Ukraine litter ali said that killing Russian speakers was better than peace. Zelensky won 70% of the vote on a peace campaign.... how'd that peace work out?
