Folks, I've been doing something thinking and would like to update my stance. After tonight's traffic fustercluck on my evening commute due to Zelensky's state visit, screw Ukraine, and go Russia.

It's one thing to fight for your country's self-determination and to resist genocide, but it's quite another to inconvenience me personally.

The traffic woes in that city/NOVA are no joke.

Nothing beats getting stuck for 9 hours on the Dulles Toll Rd/495 in the middle of a 25’ snowstorm (2010). My sanity was at a breaking point.

As for France- the debt they incurred paying for our revolution absolutely contributed to the collapse of their government.

The best deal they could've gotten was at the onset, which was complete Russian withdrawal, autonomous Donbas within Ukraine, and recognizing Russian Crimea.

And no NATO aspirations.

Now, they're going to lose all of SW Ukraine until they run out of men 18-60 to scraficie, join NATO as a rump state with one third of its population and soldiers left.

But lots of corrupt Ukrainians will be much richer than they were two years ago; much, much, richer.

I agree. I don’t think there is one at this point. At the beginning, maybe. With different American leadership. And beyond Russias lies, it would have had to include Ukraine and NATO not reneging on their ends. Which they also have in the past. Personally I don’t think either side is capable of staying true to a treaty. Too much greed and power seeking run amok in this world.
