State of 2022 Recruiting

Don’t know how you define “full of them”, but we have never had a single one and I’d bet my net worth that they’re aren’t 50 coaches who had long and profitable NFL playing careers. It’s probably safe to say your team has had some since you’re commenting, but it certainly isn’t the norm. Stoops even commented about not being able to get Ed Reed to join his staff because he has too much money to want to recruit.

Nothing was mentioned about the NFL, it was millionaires, not NFL veterans. UK has at least 1 millionaire in staff, as of today I guess UGA has 4.

I found this article that lists the top assistant coaches who used to play in the NFL. I hadn't heard of half of them and there weren't any teams listed that had more than one. I'm not suggesting this list is comprehensive, but I haven't found any data to support your assertion that "college coaching staffs are full of them." I'm sure there are more, but I can't find them. https://247sports.com/LongFormArtic...ere-former-NFL-players-147556840/#147556840_1
Once again, the statement was why would millionaires want to put in the hours to coach college football, not NFL veterans.

That was in reply to a statement about NFL players coaching. Context matters. I wasn’t referring to coaches who have become millionaires through coaching. I was referring to trying to motivate for a new career once you already have millions in the bank from playing in the NFL.

Yeah, most smart NFL players have developed business opportunities for themselves while playing that get more attention and growth upon retirement. College coaches seem to devote most waking moments to coaching, recruiting, and PR. It would be rare for an NFL player who had a long wealthy career to switch to college coaching.

Dane Key and then I think perhaps one more but not sure. Looks like Longmire may end up at WR now, so he, Key and Anthony would be three. I'd say they take another if they can get the right guy. Perhaps the offense turns some heads this fall.
Nice.

I don't know but I keep losing faith we get Key but I hope I'm wrong.

That's not a bad WR class if it turns out that way. I thought Longmire might end up there.

Two possibilities here. Perhaps Kentucky asked him to hold off to get a further look at him now that the season has started. Or, he isn't a take for WVU right now either.
I would hope the latter because that means we're in a good position with Key

I don't get why they offer so many then tell them they're to wait and see if they have a scholarship or not. Or just flat tell them no. I know everyone does it. Prime example. Landers OG from Mich. Kid has tried to schedule an announcement twice and his choices that offered him, said no. I understand it's business. That would really suck though
