SIAP: Thoughts and Prayers to Alex Poythress

All the thoughts to Alex. Great kid, probably a great adult.

Seems that condition can be after effects of a stroke, maybe even multiple mini strokes. Hope that’s not it. Far too young to be having serious issues like that.

Shit, that sounds really scary actually. Couldn’t agree more about his injury here keeping us from an undefeated Championship season. Could’ve kept the platoon going and no one woulda had nothing for them.
It would’ve been interesting to see if Cal kept the platoon had AP not gotten hurt. Cal really got tight as that season came to a close.

From that article, it sounds like he still tried to play, so here's hoping that it's nothing serious and that he has a quick recovery. :(

Also could be an autoimmune disorder. The body attacks the nerves as a foreign object. Both conditions are serious.

Terrible to hear. Hope it’s nothing serious and just some random scare.

On another note: 2014-2015 Poythress was gonna be something special. He was really coming into his own before that injury. Thiero on steroids, defensively. Was terribly unfortunate he went down that year.
Dude was chase down blocking like Lebron.

Will always believe UK wins that title in undefeated fashion if Poythress hadn't gotten hurt. Was a monster on the glass/defense, given the platoon/minutes reduction.

his injury kept that team from going undefeated in 2015. He shut down Kansas on the perimeter in Indy. Would have matched Wisconsins forward
Sitting through the Duke vs Michigan St game that night i had a group of annoying KU fans directly in front of me. They talked trash through the whole 1st game to everybody and had to tuck their tails and run very early that night lol

Seems like Bell’s palsy, which is often self-limited! Prayers up
