I think due to our lack of ball handlers and facilitators we tried to use Askew and Mintz in a 2 PG system. Allen really can't provide anything as a secondary ball handler and at the time when the season started most people believed that Askew would provide a higher ceiling as far as ball handling goes. I don't think anyone would argue that.
Bucs -- who cares where he goes if he doesnt play ? It's been spilled that he knew he was draft ready for next year , so this year its his only shot at seeing a court .. its not like he told Cal " I'm not playing " and then tells Coach B " ok I'll play your school " Thats not reality .
Well.....as it stands Cal isn't playing him and somewhere out there he would get minutes.....lets use Memphis as an example.....he could have just went to Memphis and played immediately.

My question stands. If Cal tells Sharpe to go in and Sharpe refuses, will he treat him like he did Hagans? If not, how should Cal be held accountable?

I believe Cal is waiting to play him yes. I don't know why and I don't neccessarily agree with that decision but when you are winning games and your team looks like one of the final 4 contenders then it make make you a little weary to change up the dynamic and chemistry of the team. Coaching basketball at a high level is about more than just the ability to see who can dribble a ball. 75% if it is managing relationships and emotions.

I’m talking about when he recruited the kid and he announced for us. Cal knew he would be eligible for the draft once he reclassed and joined early, but not when he was recruiting him.
If Cal subs him in, and SS refuses, Cal should remove SS from the team. In your world where this happens, and we know about it, and Cal allows SS to remain on the bench, then I will say Cal needs to be reprimanded by Mitch in whatever way Mitch chooses. This is pretty much my view on it too. I literally do NOT CARE how our coach feels about anything. He could be liberal, conservative, gay, straight, Buddhist, Jewish, Islam, atheist, purple, black, green, fat, skinny, etc……I give zero shits. He can lie, cheat, and steal (just don’t get caught you bastard). I don’t care. He can talk down his nose at me and I don’t care because I don’t need his validation. He could flip me off like Rick did and I don’t care. Same with the players. I don’t care if they love or hate this state and I don’t care if they don’t respect our storied tradition. It’s always a nice bonus if they do and most of them do. But I just need them to WIN. When they took a knee at florida last year I could have done without it but my biggest takeaway was that we won the game.
All these guys have literally one job. To entertain me. To win games and bring me joy. They are dancing bears, nothing else. I’m return for their athletic feats they receive a free education and an opportunity to make NIL money. I think it’s a fair wage for a job well done. At the end of the day this is entertainment. my support of Cal hinges entirely on my confidence in him to win games here. I still feel that he’s our best option, and that’s good because he’s basically un-fireable. He’s an Italian from Philly and I’m from SE ky. I have no affirmation for him as a person. If Clyde had won games he’d still be here and he was a major asshole so I guess it all works out for assholes in the end. A lot of our fans are unfair towards cal because they’ve become bored with him as a person. I do believe he deserves better than a lot of y’all give him and one day you will miss him. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
The coach and these players owe us fans nothing. They provide a service and are paid well for it. No one is over-payed in America. It’s a free and open market and whatever you get paid is what you deserve since you were able to get it. Good on ya. Something interesting people should keep in mind regarding Sharpe leaving this year or next year, there is a kid from France that is a lock for the Number 1 pick in the draft in 2023 so for those thinking Sharpe will come back to be the Number 1 pick that is highly unlikely, from what I have read he will go 3 or 4 in 2023. If he can leave in 2022 and be 5 without playing a game I just don't see him passing that up when he will risk injury, playing bad, etc. and still basically get picked in the same spot in 2023 as 2022. Just something to keep in mind.

Exact scenario? You serious? Diallo wasn't projected as top 6 or better. He was an iffy 1st rounder with no guarantees which is why he came back. That is totally different than this situation. Plus, Diallo was considered a raw project with great measurables. Sharpe is considered an all around, skilled player.
To the second part, Cal pushes kids out when they're known to be going in the 1st round, which infers that he will do the same with Sharpe if he is in fact draft eligible.

He could transfer at the end of the year. Immediately eligible. Play at that school in 2022-23.
Now, I know you have already concluded that he is going to the draft because he is draft eligible, but just because he is draft eligible doesn’t mean he goes into the draft.
While it is unlikely he comes back, it is a possibility.
Regardless, what would be the purpose of kicking him off the team at this point?

These juveniles and using laughing emoji's instead of making a cogent post is pretty funny in itself. The Cal brigade does that a lot. Anyway, I think it would have been better had Cal and/or the family saying from the beginning that SS may be eligible for the draft and if he is, these are his plans. It's impossible to believe he will walk away from 30M if can grab it and everyone still claiming he will ignore the money just makes matters worse. Yes, his dad has money but we're talking about walking away from 2C what his father is worth, sorry, that doesn't pass the smell test. I think he still has to file a waiver with the NBA but I think that is little more than a technicality.
