I am to the point that 1 and done players must go. We don't want them in college basketball. This kid has found a way to be 1/2 and done. I would much rather watch 4 year players play in college basketball than watch selfish kids play for 1 year and then go pro. They can have the NBA that league sucks. I don't like the style of play in the NBA and do not like the majority of players in the NBA. I want kids that play for the name on the front of the shirt and not players that play for the name on the back.
If Cal doesn't play him this year and he does declare wouldn't it technically be none and done?

I know this is a crazy idea that has no place on a message board, but how bout we let things play out and see what actually happens before we grab our pitchforks and torches and head to Cal's house?
This IS THINGS PLAYING OUT. What are you waiting for, next fall when he comes into his first NBA game?

I don’t care if he plays or bolts. He should earn as much money as he can and that’s what he’s doing. I’m upset about the coach hiding info that obviously would come out anyway.
It’s just stupid.

Damn, I wish I could remember who kept insisting (repeatedly) that he would DEFINITELY not be eligible. I repeatedly said, if he wants to be eligible, his people will find a way. And if he wants to leave after this year, he will.
Guilty as charged. Really thought he wouldn’t be, and will be very disappointed if he never takes the floor in a UK uniform. I’m shocked.

Cal thinks he’s smarter than us “basketball bennies” and we wouldn’t catch on.
He does have many fooled on here I must say.

I’m just curious…..where did Cal say he wouldn’t go pro next year?

There’s a weird sense of entitlement with some of these folks. They think the players and coaches personally owe them something. It’s very strange.
It's shocking that fans will be mad if a top player commits but may never play for us.Spoiled brat fans!!!!

I'd be really surprised if he sets foot on the court in a game this year. If he's projected to be a top 10 pick, he likely won't risk hurting his stock playing. Look what happened to Boston. There were some mock drafts that had Boston a top 5 pick before playing last season and he dropped to 51 in the draft. This season is already half over. With a shorter season for him he doesn't have as much time to improve if he starts slow like Boston.

If Sharpe doesn’t play for UK at all, it will be very hard to support Cal going forward. That will be completely inexcusable as the team we would then be left with next year is likely fringe top 25. Unacceptable at UK.
THIS.

And IF he goes — and doesn’t play like Branham says — the UK social media team has COMPLETELY led the fanbase on

Some of them no doubt are Alumni donors. So yeah, pretty much.

You don't think it's irresponsible of Cal to withhold info like this from the public? He's a slimy shyster.
Yeah, my K-Fund donations (and everyone elses) puts fuel into his private jet to go around the country making these back alley "deals" with these kids and their handlers. So yeah, it is a bit personal when it comes to light that he's misleading the fanbase.

Ah, they do. Who do you think pays the coaches’ salaries? Who do you think pays for the scholarships? Why do you think these guys were recruited? Their charming personalities? Let me guess. You’re a Bernie Sanders supporter.

Under what circumstances would anyone expect a consensus Top 10 pick to either play this year and risk injury or expose a lot of weaknesses...or expect a consensus Top 10 pick who’s eligible for the draft to decide to go to Kentucky instead?

If there’s one thing Cal has done really well it’s create a brand. Not necessarily a brand that’s beneficial anymore. But it’s a powerful one nonetheless.
