Say what you want, but we have no head coach

The funny and hypocritical thing is, these "Stoops is God" idiots are the first to say "the team has got to perform and make plays !" to defend Stoops but then ignore the guys making plays on the field and say "Oh Stoops recruited and developed them..that's why they are so good on the field."...such hypocritical bullshit from these Stoops homer clowns.

lol but that works both ways doesn't it?

The people that love Stoops will say that. Conversely, the Stoops haters will blame him for every single loss and credit the players for every single win.

Honestly, the coach gets too much credit in good times and too much blame in bad times.

Hahahaha!!!! Josh Allen didn't have any other offers. And people passed on Benny all over the place. Ask those guys if stoops had anything to do with their success. I guess you can't fix stupid though. So I am sure I am wasting my time even responding to you.
I’m sure u r. Have a lovely night. Get back to me after Stoops wins maybe 6 games this season. we can agree to disagree.

Last year we had an amazingly good defense with a strong running game. Coaches have said themselves, their job was to play to the defense and 'not mess it up'. There are a bunch of staffs out there that would have went 10-3, or possibly better, with that team against the competition we faced.

We caught Florida early, SC was a train wreck, Louisville was a nightmare by the time we found them, we bested Vandy by a whooping 7 points, got all we wanted from the powerhouse that is Central Michigan, and probably didn't deserve to win the Mizzou game. Penn State was probably the best win and they even made that harder than it needed to be.

You mean like he tried to do when defender ran off against Florida at hole a couple years ago and wasn’t granted?

Thats a hugeeeee difference from recognizing a play from the sideline that youre not alligned for.

He went 10-3 at Kentucky. I don’t give a f*** if he was a literal corpse on the sideline for that season, he deserves at least one year of people shutting the f*** up and letting him do his job.

he also choked away games against Tennessee, T A&M that should’ve been wins. Hence 10 wins instead of 12. Those games were flat out on coaching. But we were so satisfied with 10 wins because it was a milestone for this program. People that are satisfied with ending up with 10 wins instead of 12, are not the kind of people I’d want leading a business or team. They have no drive to be the best. Always satisfied with a little success. It should eat at you that you blew 2 games!! Not “well, it happens, at least we won 10”.

So when are losses due to players? When do they hold responsibility?

And please explain how the coaches choked those games away.

See..

I was very clear.. stoops has done a great job at kentucky. He has.

But you cant call out obvious, consistent patterns of ineptitude.

We often come out flat. We often get outschemed. We often make horrible in game strategic decisions.

Yes..stoops beats a lot of kentuckys past. No, he is not an elite in game coach.

Terry wilson should never have been injured because we should have been up 4 touchdowns and he should have been on the sideline planning his postgame groupie smash. With this talent, that should be a given. I dont think we will ever be that team.
BUTTT.. we will also never be 2019 tennessee .. and for a lot of kentucky fans... thats a fair compromise.

Then y is everyone so mad we lost the last 2 games that they believed we cud win?
Because they are emotional and that is what people do. They have to have someone to blame. And I would venture to say most of these people have never played or coached the sport they are talking about , and possibly have never played or coached any sport.

Okay...we agree to disagree then.

I am here won or lose and have been for 9 years. Yet here you are only showing up after losses. Just waiting to hate on the team. You have a loser mentality that whines and pitches a fit when you don't get your way. And can't explain any part of the game or why things don't go right. All you want to yell is the coach sucks. You probably got cut in school and now you hate all coaches.

Yep. U called it. I’m here to hate on UK. Didn’t watch the game...just showed up to hate...plz. I’m allowed an opinion just like u. It’s fine if they aren’t the same. Don’t be petty and act like I don’t kno the game or just hate coaches. As hostile as u r, I’d expect more from u.

We can definitely disagree. But don't call me.out on a post and not expect for me to call you out.

Then you should insist on 15 wins- 12 and 0 in regular season, SEC title game, win the playoff. Why be satisfied with 12?

Stoop haters got to hate. Stoops did not throw an interception, drop a pass, miss a tackle or miss a field goal.. Players have to execute.

So what is a coach paid to do exactly? Sorry, but when we stink in nearly every facet of the game, look totally unprepared, unmotivated, and act like they haven't practiced anything at all, who should we blame? Look if one or two players have terrible games, I with you. But we sucked at nearly every aspect of the game today, and made Miss. State look like a top ten team. This is on the damn coaches.

We have a staff full of REALLY GOOD assistants but no one to make correct decisions, fire up the team, get them mentally prepared after a bye week or a tough loss..etc etc..

Stoops has absolutely zero feel or "street smarts" hes never going to make a crazy in game adjustment that turns it on.

Suspending kash, along with dorian baker, is about the dumbest things ive seen a head FOOTBALL coach do. Already flat after a hard loss, already have suspensions due to the worst rule in the history of college football... so the LAST thing we needed was to lose our emotional leader and come out flat. In steps stoops.

Yes..Kentucky football is better off since stoops came..yes, recruiting is way better and will keep us as a winning team... no, kentucky football will not take the next step up to a georgia level(alabama level is a huge tier above). No, we wont lost stoops to an ohio state. They see his deficiencies in in game strategy and preparation.

Theres zero reason we couldnt run all over these jokers today. There defense wasnt great and we have almost the same line that dominated them last year...But we throw it 41 times...including the first quarter and dug ourselves a HUGE hole.
You realize Georgia gets 90% of their talent from instate, right? We will never have that luxury at Kentucky. Today sucked, but what Stoops has done at UK is awesome. Games like today’s are on the players. If you can’t motivate yourself, you shouldn’t be on the field.

Whats your point? Talent isnt the issue.. we are talented enough to compete with our entire schedule. We were talented enough to beat florida with a backup quarterback.

Did you read any of the post and subsequent post.. or just see stoops criticism and start typing?

Ps..i praised what stoops has done at kentucky

Coaches are paid to put their team in a position to win. In which they have.

Then what do the coaches get paid for? If players cud motivate themselves, y do we pay coaches millions? Aren’t they paid to put those players n the best situation for their skill set so they benefit, and we win games? Or did I miss sumthing?

We have the talent. Now we need the experience. Again, we lost a lot of NFL dudes last year. That alone is a big deal as we normally only have one or two a year in a great year. But, that also means we are in a stage where we have to have guys get that time to get them playing with their talent.

Then they didn't earn their pay today, now did they? You remind me of Zip on the Louisville board defending Jurich at all cost.
Yes they did. The coaches didn't drop wife open TDs. Didn't miss two field goals. Didn't miss tackles. Of all the mistakes, you catch wide open YDs in this game and we win going away. The plays were there, the players didn't execute them.

His worst move this year was setting unrealistic expectations. With all the players we lost everyone with common sense figured we were due for a step back while our guys got experience, but he had the staff pumping an improvement over last year so all the fans got hyped up foolishly. Under promise over deliver. The other way around gets you in hot water.

Well, I’d have used more Smoke and Wagner than Bowden every damn play for one...I’d have benched that bitch ass Poore after last game and he’d never kick another snap here. That’s for starters,
So one kick and you would bench him? So now players can't make mistakes? Now, after this week, yes, I agree. Needs to lose his job.
As far as Wagner, he had a lot of targets today. At least 6 of them. And Rose was doing great this week. The reason we didn't give it to him and smoke more was because of time and score.

With Bowden, you have to understand you have a green QB. Bowden is our primary target. So when a QB can't get through progressions, the primary is going to get it most of the time.

But I agree Bowden was targeted way too much. But I think that is more of the limitations of Smith than the coaches calling his number every time.

Maybe but I’m pretty sure that made it that much easier for states defense. We have weapons on offense and I don’t think we use them as efficiently as we cud. They are talented guys and our QB isn’t so inept that he can’t make plays to them. And teams don’t have a lot of film on sawyer, so I think we cud utilize that.

To paraphrase Stoops, they "had a great week of practice."
So was he bs'ing us, or does he not have a clue what he's looking at?
Look, I'm not ready to run him off over 2 bad games but your unwillingness to admit ANY culpability on the people in charge of this program is bizarre.

I get that people are upset...but please be reasonable.

This team is young, especially in the secondary. Lost multiple defensive players to NFL, lost Snell...

Then, lost their starting QB to a blown out knee....that matters people, sorry it does...a lot.

Maybe. The guy inlike more that I wish could get the ball is Keaton Upshaw. But I go back to when Terry was in there the first couple of games. He was spreading it around pretty good. Daily, Wagner, Riggs, Upshaw, Bowden, Ali, were all getting touches.

I am a coach and have had many times were the team has had a great couple of days of practice and thought we were prepared only to go out and for whatever reason the team didn't execute the way they did in their preparation. I know I am a basketball coach and it is a little different, but it is much the same as well.

And I understand coaching because I have coached just about everything under the sun. And the one thing that is certain is that coaches get too Mich credit and too much blame. Reality is, players win and lose games.

I understand that we lost options when the Qb changed...but ur a huge Stoops guy...so y wudnt he setthe guys we have that r good, up to be n the best position to make plays....we have good players. A coaches job is to make plays for the best players u have, no matter how the offense changes....

We should have coaching experience..but the in game and scheming still leaves a lot to be desired.

What would.you do differently than Stoops?

Be honest... 1st and goal from the 10..down 4..to win the national championship...

Is our head coach even in the top 25 of who you would want in charge of that situation

Didn’t this staff recruit them? Didn’t this staff develop them? Didn’t this staff recruit and develop everyone on that 10-3 team? I thought so. Clearly it’s coaching across the board. It’s Stoops vision that has built this program the right way. With ethics, redshirting and playing good disciplined football, like low penalties.

Just another example of you haters. Try to point to the players but it was these coaches who brought them in and developed them and turned them into the beast. Blinded by your own ignorance and hatred. Get all in or root for someone else.

LMAO ! You would have loved my first reply to this "Stoops is God and above all criticism" homer post. It was so respectful and true. I hate that the mods deleted it. Oh well.
