Ryan Lemond going off

I think he's more mad about injuries biting us again, but he does think Cal knew yesterday. I have no problem with that though. Cal didn't cause the injury and if he is trying to protect his draft stock, that doesn't hurt us at all, so.....

I don’t get it. How does it protect PJ’s draft stock to not talk about the injury? Regardless, the NBA scouts/team will want PJ evaluated and will likely want a clean bill of health if they have concerns about his injury. So, being quiet really doesn’t do a whole lot. What being quiet does do is it makes each opponent have to worry about whether or not they need to prepare for PJ and they then have to decide whether they spend time preparing for him or focus on others. So, that can give Cal and UK an advantage if the other team chooses wrong.

Ryan Lemond doesn't believe most of the things he says.

He's a radio host, and his role is the zany sidekick. Look around the country, there's a formula. He's Stugotz. He's Golic. He's any number of "less intelligent" comic relief examples.

The people you should worry about are the ones who actually feel the way he's pretending to.

True.

It does get a bit old with UK never being correct/forthcoming with injuries when every other school seems to over communicate and put out correct information.

Yeah all those Rick pitino injury reports to where a player is done for the season and he played the next game. And K this season when their PG separated his shoulder was out for the season... Are those the ones among many others?

This sums it up. He has specific role to play on Matt Jones' show; kind of like an actor playing a part.

Typical hypocritical Matt. Goes on a snowflake rant about this board criticizing him for publishing the UCLA report. We get it. Its a story. The fact that he said he put a roll eye emoji in his tweet about it demonstrates he understands exactly why people criticized KSR for publishing it. It doesn't mean you dont put it out there, but also dont go on air and cry (like a snowflake would....) when you yourself have acknowledged the probability of it being a bunch of fake news. People are going to give you a hard time. You say if people cant handle that, read another site. If you cant handle people offering valid criticism of a clearly bogus UCLA fishing expedition, then maybe report for a different fan base, because this passion BBN has cuts both ways.

If a player doesn't want their injury announced to world then there is nothing the Kentucky staff can do. However if UK staff knows he's done for the year then they should just say no comment rather than yanking the fans around. It's possible PJ didn't tell the staff until after the press conference yesterday since he saw a specialist yesterday.

Yeah Ryan! Let's give our opponents time to come up with a gameplan without our best player!

I defend Matt on here often and really appreciate what he brings to UK fans in general. I realize he's a big fan of Ryan's and is surely pretty defensive of him. That's obviously his right and his perspective. Ryan probably has helped make that show even better or more popular.

It hasn't with me though. I can't take Ryan seriously. 80% of the time he's just Matt's echo. Another 10% he's taking a completely arbitrary stance on something that I don't even think he believes and the last 10% he takes some huge, passionate stance on something that just doesn't seem well thought out. Often, when pressed on it, he can't even back up his own reasoning and ends up laughing at it - yet feeling the same way anyways.

Hate to sound critical of him as a person. I dont' know him and wouldn't doubt he's a great guy. He just brings nothing to the table, on that show, from my perspective.

We will all know soon enough, I can imagine the players and coaches grow weary of being under the microscope constantly. We do get more than our share of key player injuries, I think of Mike Casey injured that probably cost us a championship, WCS injured cost another, Poythress out cost us one in 2015 as he would have hindered Dekker significantly, then NN who went down we wouldn't have been in the hunt that season but it would have prevented the catastrophe that happened without him.

Really... you think the fans would except no comment?!?!

Your mom popped you out, and the doctor slapped you on the ass. That's the last free thing you're gonna get in this world.

Ryan Lemond is a quintessential yes man. Whatever he is mad about probably has to do with Body Shapes Medical or hair restoration

Ryan is infinitely more tolerable and affable than Matt with his incessant whining and lecturing, but Ryan has got to stop being a Matt parrot. All he seemingly does is reiterate or rephrase what Matt just said. They really need to take stock of some of the criticisms offered on here, they are completely valid.
