RUN DMC to perform at Late Night at the Phog
LAWRENCE, KS (KCTV) --- RUN DMC will be the performing artist at this year's Annual Late Night in the Phog.

Well, Snoop Dog and his merry band of pole dancers and cash guns went over so well for KU a couple of years ago, I'm not sure how this could go bad. 😳

I actually think they could do worse lol. Run DMC, for as dated as they are, is kind of a step up for Kansas. Hey, good for them.
Not to mention that Jam Master Jay is long dead. Very odd booking.

They more or less fell off the map after their 1993 album. They never had any hits after that album. So you can basically add another 10 years.
Saw them in concert in ‘87 in Freedom Hall. Beastie Boys opened.
Wonder how they pulled that off? I bet it was tricky.

Listen, Run DMC as it stands in 2021 are pretty much irrelevant. But I gotta say ... King of Rock comes on and I'm turning it up. Loud.
There's something to be said for something coming full circle and going from irrelevant to retro and thus cool again.
It would probably be worse if they went with T-Pain or Nelly or Petey Pablo.
And obviously the ADIDAS thing with Run DMC, too.

Those guys had a bad breakup, hated each other for years, got reunited on a radio show and made up, then started hating each other again.
well maybe they can get back together and then break up again at the Phog. Then Snow, Tone Loc, and Skee Lo can all come out
