I'm not going to make excuses for either the ga. state or the byu game- we got beat by those 2 teams and it should have never happened. Our coaches are to blame (didn't prepare or take seriously enough) , as well as the players (take pride in beating people you should) but you have to give credit for their turn around. Tennessee was much different at the end than at the beginning in all aspectsI am one of those that care a lot more about UK football than I do basketball, although it is usually a lot easier to love.
I was really REALLY impressed with your Georgia State game, also really impressed with how lucky you were the rest of the year, amazing your last two games of the year. I sure hope we have a season this year, we have always had a big disadvantage in the trenches-----until now.
As for luck, I don't think it was luck stopping the Wildcats- with the game on the line- first and goal at the 4 AND against the best rushing team in the sec. Picture perfect spacing, assignments, gaps filled and tackling. The third and fourth down plays should be hall marked for football teaching academies. Now, make excuses on that.
