Stoops could have started Smith against UT had he chosen. Stoops announced he was ready to go earlier that week. He chose Bowden because he obviously believed Bowden gave UK the best chance to win. And I don't blame him; Bowden was the smart choice. UK was coming off a bye week, which gave Gant chance to install some veer options, which UT had to adjust to. So it was a good plan...for the 1st quarter.

If it makes you feel better and I think Stoops has done a great job and glad to see UK doing better in football. It's more fun when border rivals actually have a rivalry. I don't expect to see Maurer this year, but I do expect to see whoever your QB is picking himself up off the ground quite often in the coming years, we had a very good defense this year but our DL class was third in the nation behind only Clemson and Bama, one five star 2nd best DL prospect in the nation and four more DL prospects that were four stars. One from your fair state. Probably would have had another but you hired his dad to wrap up the deal.
Yeah. Tennessee didn’t land any good DLs. They also return their entire 3 deep rotation from last year and add Emmitt Gooden, Dom Bailey, Omari Thomas, and Tyler Baron. And Barons dad has worked for UT since Baron was in 6th grade. Pruitt was playing the long game way back when he was in Bama as a DB coach.

I told you Stoops said Sawyer Smith was 100% ready prior to the UT game. You said no, Smith had 2 injuries, indicating Smith was not ready by the UT game. So I was curious if you thought Stoops was lying. I mean for all I know Stoops said Smith was ready so that Pruitt would have to prepare for 2 QBs. No reason for you to be hypersensitive about the question.

Correct. He did put UT in his final 3 with Clemson and UNC, but I would think those 2 are likely ahead of UT, but I don't count UT out at this point. He likes Brumbaugh, Pruitt, and Ansley a lot, and Graham certainly helps.
So before we post something conference-related, do we have to seek permission/clearance from UT fans?

I do sometimes "speak in absolutes" when the facts there are pretty much very predictable, but we all speak that way to a certain degree. I mean, we have one on here who brings up things about UT, or "ThugU " that was ten + years ago and applies it to now. They are my opinions and take it for what it is worth. What I won't do is ever name call someone or insult their intelligence. I believe we can respectfully agree to disagree on things. Lastly, as far as going over to another site, I get what you are saying, but in my little world, I deal more with ky fans on a daily basis than Vol fans, so I want to know what is happening at uk. I try to be very selective on the topic though and will never start a thread.
