Ranking the overall strength of SEC East programs

Reading comprehension is a good thing to have, I said he had a pretty good NFL career. There is a difference.
He played in the league a few years, and he was the #1 RB in his class out of high school, I believe. Anyone that stays in the NFL for a few years should be considered a success, ie made a lot of money. How does his NFL career compare to yours (or mine).
He had 7 TDs in 4 yrs. Do you consider Jamarcus Russell pretty good in the NFL too?

Yes. The cops are so on the side of UT players that a “rape” case that took a jury of 12 white people 22 minutes to deliberate, ruined the season of an all American candidate due to false accusations. Did Kash ever own up to domestic assault or animal abuse?

"White people"? Gotta watch out for those white people, I wonder if you were on that jury, must have been SOME evidence if it took 22 minutes to return a verdict. Were you there? Which one of the rape cases was that, I couldn't keep up with all of them.

Did anyone ever press charges against Kash, or was that a he say she say (with her not being reputable) case? Did you ever read about the very promising LB that was in a he say she say case at UK (with some other very questionable circumstances, CLEARED by a grand jury) that was not only kicked off the team but not allowed on campus by a kangaroo court jealous prof court? UK has leaned over backwards to be squeaky clean ever since they had the book thrown at them SEVERAL times by the joke of an NCAA.

Not sure what the criteria is now but not long ago the rule for getting kicked off a team at UK (and Georgia) was TWO mj failures, while at the same time at Thug U it was FIVE. (At Transfer U at the time they didn't count them).

I don't follow Thug U players in the NFL, barely if ever follow UK players, he played several years, bet he made a whole lot more money than you did.

I never heard of Jamarcus Russell, was he a senator or something?

They returned a verdict of not guilty. The guy is the starting ILB for the Broncos now but lost millions in draft money. Missed the end of the 2014 and cost us some wins. No woman ever pressed charges on Bryce Thompson either but y’all bring his situation up.

Probably hard to get a guilty verdict for a football hero in Tennessee. Probably dangerous to press charges also.

Neither of the two victims that were assaulted by the EIGHT thugs at the night club in Knoxville, the one with the illegal (per NCAA rules) free admission to Vol thugs pressed charges against any of them either. Wonder what kind of compensation they got for that, or were they just afraid for their lives.

Lol Thompson had a TPO taken out against him before he got to UT, and then not only hit his gf last summer but also threatened to shoot up the school. You are right though - his gf didnt want him to get in trouble - they often dont. Between he and Jeremy Banks two good ones you got there.

Yeah, they just swept everything about him under the carpet, after all he was a freshman All American. Thug U sucks.

ESPN had an article about them dismissing their medical staff because they wouldn't bench some players for injuries, Pruitt said don't look at me, I didn't have anything to do with it.

Guess who was in charge of it------Phat Phil.

What is this, a big scrambling QB gave them trouble? And what is our BIG 6.0 transfers strong point? And our medium sized running QB gave you fits in the game this year!

Hmmm.

Apparently our QB gave your defense even more trouble.

Knew All pro, All American UT great Doug Atkins at the twilight of his career when he played for the Saints. He was one big man! I had some horses for the owner of the Saints and Doug like to stop by the barn and go to the track kitchen for coffee. I once ask him even during The Bear years UT always had more better players than my CATS. His response " our coaching staff furnished us with chewing gum and I chewed a lot". JMO much to do with UT football never changes.

Yeah, with all the talent you had he managed to score two TDs. Kind of hoping he is back for another year. The field goal is what might have won the game, if we had made our easy one we would have probably gone to overtime.

He was 6' 8" tall IIRC, the tallest of his time..

You know that got proven false, right? That was a fired guy making false claims. Notice how our injuries have actually dropped? Butch had numerous repeat injuries. Ruined the careers of guys like Darrin Kirkland, Evan Berry and Todd Kelly Jr with repeat injuries and bad surgeries under these outdated doctors.

Guarantano didn’t even start in the first half. Playing with broke non throwing hand, he only had 10 minutes of possession and out scored y’all. Hell yall used Kash Daniels broken paw as a reason to why your defense got ravaged in 2018.

Maurer QBed the 1st half. Guarantano started the 2nd half and promptly led the offense to 2 TDs. And you get your wish. He does return.

I assume you mean missed EP rather than FG.

I am not complaining at all about the permanent cross division in bama- just pointing out the obvious that in our 10 year historic low and their historic 10 year high- that game is pretty much a guaranteed loss for us. I really would not trade that rivalry at all b/c historically it has meant so much, and except for a few exceptions of years ( current 10 included) , we have held our own against bama. Before Saban's arrival, there was a stretch where we went 9-0-1 against them.

Before the current “ten year historic low” you had a previous ten years with no SEC titles and nothing on the national stage.

This is 20 years of mediocre to poor football - thats not a trend its a lifestyle.

Actually , we played in 3 sec championships the prior 10 years - 2001, 2004, and 2007. All of these years were 10 + wins and the 2001 team would have played for the national championship had we beaten Saban led lsu , whom we beat earlier that year BUT according to you, we were mediocre . Well , I guess by the 90's standard we were slipping somewhat. Point taken.

Time for the ut fans to crawl back to their board, and discuss their top tier vols ,amongst themselves, and leave us out of their self congratulatory discussions! Unfortunately, they don’t realize that their corruption will always inhibit any success they might achieve! But they can talk about all their national championships, either real or imagined!

So basically y’all in basketball. Two of your coaches in the last 20 yrs were involved in two of the biggest scandals involving eligibility and impermissible benefits but I’m sure they were clean at UK.

Yeah. So is Bama.
Do you remember the pictures of some bama players with wads of cash (gangster style) and some in new cars after arriving at bama? Do you also remember in the same year , one of our dl recieved impermissible money from a summer job and was suspended by the ncaa after the first game ( name escapes me right now) and a bama dl was found out to have recieved more money than our dl and was suspended by the ncaa as well. Well, the bama player sat out 2- 3 games ( he repaid back the money) and was reinstated and played the rest of the year. Meanwhile , our dlineman sat out the rest of the year and the ncaa never ruled on his case b/c he was a senior. He was also willing to repay but was never given the chance. The ncaa really took millions from him b/c he had a shot at being drafted

Yea right. Its b/c these are at the very minimum are being shady , and at the normal, cheating that they can compete for championships year in and year out. I wonder how you feel about Kansas in basketball since they are on your level every yeay.

No need to cheat when you're competing for national titles every year like Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State or UK in basketball. Tennessee? Everyone knows they're a different story
You gotta cheat to get there sometimes. Which Bamas been busted and punished for doing numerous times.

Do me a favor and find how many times Tennessee has forfeited games (hint: It’s zero) or been on probation (hint: it’s once) in either sport.

If you really believe that have no qb and having a wide receiver at qb with virtually no passing threat was not a disadvantage then you know nothing about football. If our starting qb hadn't been out the last 11 games them UK would have been a much different team and most likely blown the doors off your team and won 10 or 11 games.
If Terry Wilson was your only hope for beating Tennessee then you had no hope.

LOL No I don't, and I wonder why my story was in print if it wasn't true? But you do seem to have an answer for everything, probably have had a lot of practice.

Outdated doctors, lol. Outdated because they wouldn't cheat?

We won 2 SEC titles during that period - compared to us and Fla you were indeed mediocre. That 2001 team was one of the 7 that decade we beat as well. But you are right - 19 years ago you had at least a relevant season and thats something.

Repeat injuries, or the Doctors just reported them like they are supposed to do, lol. Good job.

Wilson looked MUCH improved before he was injured. Actually Sawyer Smith looked good before he was injured also, should have beat Florida, actually had them beat until disaster struck.

Kentucky football and titanic movies are always the same. No maaatter how promising it looks in the beginning, Kentucky always hits the iceberg.

We actually won a divisional title or codivisional title 4 times : (01, 03, 04, and 07). Never said we won 4 conference championships. Also several 10+ seasons in there. I think if you are playing for conference championships in the sec, you are pretty relevant- definitively top 10 . That is my opinion but you might think that is not relevant enough. UT's slide came after the firing of Fulmer in 08. For our program to be in the funk it is in is , is very disheartening , but as a dog fan you would know what that feels like, right? Where was georgia from 1980 to really until Smart got there b/c Richt could never ever ultimately cut it ( that is a 30 + year stretch).?

Always? We beat you in 17 and should have beat you the past two years. But you are right, it does look very promising this year.
