I mean obviously we were going to have to try and get one lol. Cutter isn’t ready and behind him are 2 more freshman and Gavin

Should be interesting, I hope they get a Graduate Senior that is good but not NFL caliber. Hopefully, they are like Vandy’s QB this season.

Ideally, they would let Bush bring in his own offensive staff, specifically a QB coach and develop Boley to the system. As well as the other QBs coming in. Folks are high on the Saunders kid.

I would argue for Bush and position coaches that he wants, trusts, and can run things something closer to what Boise St has looked like offensively.

The kids who have committed to UK, and Bush now, should be given every opportunity to compete and succeed.

Give Boley and Saunders all the reps during the offseason and let's see what happens. Hell, let em both play next year too.

Bush is the qb coach iirc?

Another offseason, some weight and a spring and fall camp for Cutter may help. Someone saw some things with him , as his offer sheet out of HS was impressive
I’m sure it will help and I hope he wins the job. But going into the season they need another guy

Fingers crossed . I don’t see any reason he can’t be as good as Andre Woodson , who really blossomed about halfway thru his first year of playing every snap….and finished strong in his last yr 2007. Agree, they need to bring in a vet to stabilize the room

I believe should stick to Brock, you could tell everything was starting to click, he was just getting into a rhythm, we moved away from him too quick, he'll become an NFL HOFer, somewhere else most likely.

He has done nothing to earn the starting job.
He didn't exactly get put in in the best situations though did he. Plus the o-line might make a seasoned QB look bad. He only started one game after about half the team had already quit. He needs more weight and muscle to be sure but to write him off is premature.

Yeah not necessarily a fan of coordinators coaching positions. Just like I’m not a fan of HCs dabbling too much on either side of the ball.

I want the coordinators “in the lab with a pen and pad…” to quote the great philosopher Dre

Drawing up plays, watching film..

Auditing the offense and how all other positions are doing, developing, within context of the system.

At least here with Stoops…I know there are some great OC positional coaches other places.

We need a specialist with no other duties to really put in the work and develop our QBs…especially a couple young kids.

In reference to another thread: how about Chad Pennington as our QB coach? Played several years in the NFL, surely his knowledge is pretty extensive as to playing the position. Have no idea if he's capable of teaching/imparting that knowledge on someone else, but I'm guessing he knows >>>>> playing QB than 99% of QB/OCs currently employed. That would free up Hamdan to spend more time dissecting film and creating a game plan that has somewhat better than a snowball's chance in hell of succeeding (which we saw way too infrequently this past year).

You're only allowed I think it's 10 on field assistants therefore it becomes necessary for coordinators to also coach a position. You could dedicate a coach to QB for instance but if you did you'd have to eliminate a RB or OL or WR or TE coach. About the only way that could be done is to combine responsibilities, for instance WR/TE could be Receivers coach. I don't think HCs anywhere wants to do that.
