In March of that year, Avila-Jara was arrested by immigration authorities at the Los Angeles International Airport and, within weeks, was ordered deported to Ecuador by a U.S. Department of Justice Immigration Judge. Avila-Jara was removed from the United States in July of 1996 but re-entered the United States at an unknown time and place sometime afterward.
The Lawrence District Court in Massachusetts arraigned Avila-Jara on Dec. 18, 2020, charging him with more than 20 criminal offenses, including indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, rape of a child with force, and aggravated statutory rape of a child. Later that day, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents lodged an immigration detainer against Avila-Jara with the Lawrence Police Department, requesting notification before his release.
According to ICE, the Lawrence District Court judge refused to honor the detainer despite filing a detainer requesting Avila-Jara be held and turned over to ICE in the event of his release. Avila-Jara was released on bail in March 2021 and was free to roam the streets.
On April 22, 2021, the Essex County Superior Court arraigned Avila-Jara for six counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, eight counts of rape of a child with force, and eight counts of aggravated statutory rape of a child.

I completely understand. I always found that fishing provided the same solace. But, these days you can't find any water worth fishing. Every body of water is now a high-pressure fishery, especially here in WKY where water is already in short order. And I'm not trailering a boat for 2 hours to Ky Lake for 3 dinks and a striper.
In the late 90s, I was in 3 tournament clubs at the same time down in Bham. Took about 5 years before I became completely disgusted with the whole thing. Stashing fish, weighting fish, insider cheating for higher stage position draws, guys intentionally blocking other guys' trailers in, running into a creek mouth at full throttle to make a wake to knock a dude off his deck, seeing fights break out between tourney clubs and locals just wanting to fish their home lake on a Saturday morning... The growing sentiment against tourney fishing is amazing to me and also quite welcomed.
I read last year somewhere that there is a team of lawyers who have assembled with the express intent of figuring out how to nullify all HOAs. Haven't heard a thing about it since I read it.

Sorry I don't have control over the Lawrence District Court judge. There are numerous issues where I don't necessarily agree with the "official" Democratic party on.

I have lived in my current neighborhood with HOA for 38 years. Never an issue and have seen the HOA correct issues that needed attention.
Rand's Libertarian routine, especially on trade, is as tiring as a leftist's Communism routine. It sounds feasible in theory, but is impossible to put in place. For example, if the Ford plant in Louisville closed down and moved to Mexico and Rand said "welp, free trade. We're all better now" they'd string his ass up.
Yea. free trade has to be fair trade too. You can't put restrictions on US businesses that Mexico doesn't have and then say "welp, they just beat you in the market".... That isn't true. They didn't get beat in the market. The government skewed the market wildly to favor Mexico.

At the end of the day, 1990's China being added to the WTO basically added like 800M smart, low-wage workers to the global labor pool. They were hardly consumers, they were just workers. I’ve worked my ass off to get where I am, but I also started off with a big advantage because my parents had money to send me to college debt free.
The people that will be hurt aren’t people like me. They’re the people that are working their ass off for less money than I am or who are out there job searching amid this uncertainty.

Politics have become faith IMO way too many people think their side is 100% right and the other 100% wrong. At that point it’s a religion and not a political party. You can call me whatever you want, but I’ll never worship a politician.

I'll give you two more examples; don't think trans folks should be able to participate in sports (according to the gender they identify with) and I am not completely against his efforts to get rid of government waste. She is a good woman, solid...and that is what makes her political views so troubling, she is a white, rich liberal...I have known her my whole life, and yet they conditioned this decent woman to vote for the destruction of her own country. That is what we are up against.
She isn't a bad person, she is a great mother to my nieces, but her politics will ruin the country.

I'm 67 and have only been to the driving range once. Spent about 30 minutes there trying to hit the ball and hooked and sliced the whole way through. Maybe got one good stroke. Decided I did not care for the game. Not patient enough for the sport plus, the cost is too much for equipment and the courses. I have retired friends who have tried to get me to go, and I did once but only drove a cart with the cooler of beer on it. I told them I still play softball and was not ready for an old man's game.
When softball is over, it's bowling and increased fishing. More beer to be had with both of those.
