Imo the craziest part of the jfk files wasnt who orchestrated it, because everyone pretty much knew that. That part was so suspected it didn't even make waves lol.
The craziest part was seeing, in black and white, the cia using the same tactics then as they do now and the origin story of some of the power players.
In this link, it shows the US orchestrating lawfare against a foreign official they dont like but implore that it must be made to look legit.
In another link I shared before, it was the cia working with Hollywood to create elaborate props and movies to frame Russian officials for things that never happened. It also proves they were not above faking the moon landing or anything else to beat communism.
Finally in other sets of documents, there are loads of names of cia funded front organizations in Texas from charities to oil companies. One of those was a company that eventually became branded as haliburton. Yes, that haliburton. You can bank thats where the bushes come in too, given their ties to that entire circle and ghwb being cia director.
So trump is realistically almost surely the only US president not driven by the cia since jfk. Reagan obviously wasnt completely driven, but heavily. The rest were probably just cia puppets altogether.
