Years ago, a church I was associated with decided to invite Swahili/Congolese to our building to have a facility to set up worship services --all out of good-will intentions.

Fast forward several years...the mess, the rudeness .. etc ran off several church custodians, and the (successful) effort was made to empower them to find their own building. Always the contemptible look toward "Devil whitey" when passing them in the halls.

A failed experiment indeed. Church had to hire extra custodians to clean up messes from weddings etc, and replace broken windows.

Some cultures are not meant to intermingle long term. A sad but real deal.

They are not the only ones wanting to sit on the couch. Many illegals were also living off of the government. Many say they were all looking for a better life and that might be true, but a better life for many is to have someone else pay for it.

You want a better life and are willing to work for it, assimilate, and become an American, I am with you. I have had those whose served in the Army who got their citizenships through service and became better Americans than many of the people who were born here. Being an American is an idea and is not limited to birth right. Swear your allegiance to that idea or get out.

Someone should show up with pamphlets to distribute to attendees outlining the steps they can follow to relocate to Ukraine and volunteer for the Ukrainian military. If you want to "stand with Ukraine," you need to be fully committed.
