I agree with you this a much savvier Trump than 8 years ago, his picks of Patel, Hegseth, Gabbard, RFK Jr. show he is going into this much differently than before. The swamp/deep state has clearly acted scared of those choices.

I think part of it had to do with they could see Johnson probably has the votes to remain speaker and it wasn't worth the fight. You may get more from him in the future by giving him support now.

I have paid into SSI into my own account. I can see it online. Its mine. So no. Fortunately that $5K or so a month that I currently am projected to get is not what I am needing to live on. I've spent my time the last years bringing people up to try and get them to rise to the occasion, to do their best for the right things. I've kind of done that low key while keeping my eye on the work but the underlying tone is always, what are you really capable of now. What can you do if you give it better effort(s)... I enjoy working that way, it has kept me going.

All I can do is hope that is what President Trump is trying... I DO hope it works...
