Nobody who can get the votes wants to be Speaker (especially a hardcore MAGA representative). Trump has less than 2 years to get his agenda done. He really has no choice but to roll with Johnson. It’s going to be very difficult to get a lot done with the current numbers the GOP has including several RHINOS. Very glad he is back in the WH but it’s going to be very difficult including everything Biden’s admin is currently doing to sabotage Trump’s 2nd term and all Biden’s messes Trump has to clean up.

You'd be amazed what a true "Business Man" can do. I will not discount President Trump this go-round.

The last time he tried to get along and play nice but he "learned" his enemies. He will not make the same mistakes twice. I am looking forward to the HUGE dent put into the Communist agenda in this country and will do anything in my power to assist that outcome, even if it is only sending in some dough from time to time... I'd retire any time if there was a part I could play in outing the swamp creatures... Permanently until the younger generation could take over...

It will take more than four years but I think President Trump has that in mind with the calls he already has and is making... I am thankful...

The companies who use H1Bs directly caused the current lack of qualified electronic engineers in this country. They did so by not giving graduates jobs. Those graduates had to then pivot into another field. Once word got out that the grift was on people stopped studying EE in depth because they knew Punbob and Rick from India already had their jobs. Now the EE pool is empty so the companies can just say, "look, see, no one is there to hire," and then they hire all the H1Bs they want.

It is fraud, they are still doing it, and it is done on purpose to facilitate their greed.

It's impossible to hire all the H-1B's anyone wants. There's an 85K/yr limit on them.

The only reason to support Johnson is to prevent a fight over the speakership, even though he’s a tool of the democrats and establishment, and apply enough leverage that he’ll feel the need to push the MAGA agenda. He’s given no reason for optimism to date.

There’s major risk that this is going to backfire. Couple that with Thune wanting to pay off donors first, then focus on tax reform later and I have major concerns we aren’t going to see any tax reform next year and the middle class is going to go off the tax cliff.

I understand backing him for the sake of unity if they didn’t think there’s anyone else in the House that could get the votes, but I think there’s a huge risk that it backfires.

The establishment would love nothing more than to stick it to the American people for voting for Trump, while also blaming Trump, and preventing tax reform will be a great way to make that happen. Will be significant tax increases on the middle class and small businesses if nothing happens by the end of 2025.
