I’m not saying that Sanders is my guy. I do like universal healthcare (analysts show that Americans would save 2k switching to UHC) and Universal income (especially with the rise in AI). I’m not sure if I agree with any of his other policies, however.
I think these two policies certainly place Americans first. And more importantly the most vulnerable Americans.

I think Trump is very concerned about his legacy, especially his last namesake. So I do think he’s going to try to make people’s lives better. We’ll just see if he can maintain his attention long enough in any direction.
Is a real head scratcher... I try/ tried once or twice but after a couple attempts at civility and humanity I take no prisoners and do NOT waste my time. If enough do that they will show up with another username which is so very funny as they try spending/ forcing themselves in places where they are not wanted (I guess it works as some/ several posters still engage and heartily.) 1) Oil, gas and coal companies won’t be paying this at all. It will be challenged in court immediately.
2) Hochul is freaking insane. New York is being destroyed by businesses leaving, and this is just going to expedite those departures. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. Public service (not that people like Hochul think she’s a public servant) really isn’t attracting our brightest at all.
Trump is a POPULIST, as I mentioned in my post. So was Hitler, and Lenin, and Pol Pot, and Mao. I’ll take UHC and universal income and Bernie can keep the rest of his agenda.

Wasn't a good couple days of some arguing back in forth on X among different factions of the winning team, some still arguing...only reason there was any arguing was Vivek wakes up the day after Christmas and decides it is a good time to go on a little rant about our culture.
Part of what he said was bizarre, the timing was bizarre, and he is too smart not to know that it would unnecessarily stir sh-t up with conservatives. Everyone was in a celebratory mood, it was unnecessary. His message was out of the blue, when I read it my first thought was 'Why?'. We are less than a month before Trump takes office...it's the holidays...what the f-ck are you doing Vivek? haha.
I still think it is a small matter that will blow over quickly if some on X will let it...Elon hasn't helped matters, he has deleted a couple of approving responses to posts that were really insulting of Americans. Everyone was happy until Vivek stirred sh-t up, now we got Musk calling some Republicans racist. I still like all parties involved, Trump maybe doesn't get elected without Elon. Still a big Elon fan, also agree with some of the conservatives arguing with Elon/Vivek on this particular issue.

Yeah, I can agree with that in part (I slightly softened my message). But since Vivek's post, the ones pouring by far the most gasoline on it have been the 'tech bros' on our team...conservatives are mostly just responding. Our team is fighting. And I admit I'm a little mad at Vivek cause he handed the left a gift. But his original message, while ill-advised, wasn't so bad to get us where we are.
It has been everyone, in anger making it worse. The left at present isn't causing or creating any of that division. I guess I viewed 'op' as more like unrelenting propaganda and tactics the left employed in the example you used...the whole George Floyd mess. So far they are just setting on the sidelines mostly and using Vivek's and Elon's own words. The reason I found Kirk's message kind of dumb was under his definition you could almost call every attempt to hurt your political opponents an 'op'. The George Floyd matter was lying, breathlessly turning a lifelong criminal into a saint, and unbelievably encouraging and instigating whole communities to steal, destroy, and set shit on fire. To me that is an 'op'.
Of course, the other side is going to try to amplify fights in the opposing team's ranks, that is politics. But anything they are saying right now the people on our side arguing aren't even hearing cause they are yelling at each other. I think what will happen is when it is clear that the issue has blown over, that is when the left will try to keep it going. Always enjoy getting your opinion though, good stuff man.

I'm not trying to blow the debate into something it isn't. I want it to stop completely. Musk is responding at times to random nobodies he doesn't need to. And people screenshot stuff, him agreeing with a post calling conservatives who are making valid arguments retarded. A post that said they were too retarded to train. Even though he deleted his post half a day later, it's too late.
What purpose does that serve? Even if it was done in jest, it hurts your ability to persuade people. Which he is smart enough to do. And calling some Republicans racist is red meat to liberals. It's their favorite word to throw around. You want an 'op' just put the word racist next to Republican in a post and the dems/media can run with that for 3-6 months. I love Elon, I think he is unbelievably brilliant, but trying to act like he hasn't made this worse is beyond a stretch. This could have blown over in a day. Vivek, to his credit, has mostly responded to some who disagreed like Stephen Miller and other conservatives with posts trying to be agreeable. But his post that people started criticizing from the right was dumb man. All of this was completely avoidable.
