Perhaps 60% never say that English becomes primary language. The cool thing is that the second and third generations do. In my experience, seems like the 2nd generation can speak fluently and can write the language, and the 3rd generation sees massive speech gaps and zero writing.
Reminds me of a story. had just got off a midnight shift on guard duty. A buddy and I were having a couple of beers. There came an awful commotion at the other end of our hooch.
