Not government controlled. Lottery, so many from each party represented, private entity with pay for their work during that election. If you have republican, democrat, green party, libertarian, communist and so forth on the ticket each gets one or two (citizens) on that commission. With Zoom and teams no need to be in one place. Just have evidence. Review, vote. That is all it takes. Almost like jury duty but paid much better. Elections are now a billion dollar industry. So part goes to the election commission for pay of representatives.

Problem with that is it takes 3 times, had different results 3 different times. Election should not be off at all let alone 3 times no matter who wins.
Well, I did MY part. If society, the DNC, state election boards, and the courts are determined to put their thumb on the scales there is nothing we can do about it. I said over 6 months ago that Trump needed scores of lawyers in the swing states, challenging anything and everything, but they haven't done it.
Every Trump voter in those states, that hasn't voted yet is going to have to suck it up, for hours on end, and overwhelm the election day vote. That's the best we can do.
If he loses, he loses. It'll be a sad day though, and it will usher in one party rule for all of our lifetimes IMO.

I have always felt that way and was happy to pay more to insure solvency and benefits, not only for my future but that of fellow Americans. I never understood why contribution rates weren’t raised, based on projections and actuarial tables. This was often discussed over the years at my CPE seminars. It was the politicians who were unwilling to raise the rates and limits, not most people I knew and worked with. Borrowing from the SSA funds by Congress was upsetting to folks, too.

Fwiw … what’s always been amazing to me is how few people know that, except for self-employed people, FICA and Medicare taxes are matched by their employers. Folks get full benefits, but have only contributed half the cost.

Baris is saying all the data is saying Trump and all the Media are saying Kamala. It depends on if you listen to the media or the data as to how you feel. Look at how the campaigns are acting and what the dems are doing on the ground and ask yourself if they act like they feel like they can win or are they acting panicked and need a hail mary?

In 2 of the 3 Republican presidential wins this century, the Republican won with fewer votes than the Democratic candidate. Gore had more votes than Bush in 2000. (543,895) Clinton had more votes than Trump in 2016. (2,868, 686).
On the Democrat side, Obama's margin was +7.2% against McCain and +3.2% against Romney. Biden was +4.5% vs. Trump.

Only 3 locations in my county for early voting. 1 hour wait at one thur and fri. Voted Fri in minutes but had to drive about 15 minutes further.... Worked out. Drove my parents too.
Democrats oppose Citizens United pretty uniformly. So many of our woes stem from dark money. Money is not speech. Money can be counted and measured. It is fungible, as they say. Put Citizens United to a vote. Up or down. It's possible to get rid of it. I hope.
